The tall shadow was turned, not looking toward us. It was looking out towards the woods. It looked like it was looking for something particular. I don't know what it was but it was scary as hell. The darkness indicated pure evil and hatred. Only evil and hatred found in the deepest pits of hell.
"Oh, dear god," Alex leaned over and whispered, "what the hell is that?"
He can see it? Alex can see it? But how? The way he drove it looked like he didn't see the ghosts around him. It hadn't struck me until now. Alex Carter was partially psychic. A partial psychic can see outlines of ghosts or all of it. It really depends on how much energy the ghost is projecting.
"You can see it?" I whispered back. "How?"
"Rose, this is niether the time nor the place to discuss this topic. We need to get away from him. Now." Alex started stepping back. Seeing the pure evilness frightened me, but I had to see it closer. It was the only way to be sure that it was PURE evil and not just partially. I took a step closer. NO with only feet in between us I said aloud:
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I looked at it as it turned around and looked at me. It's face was - would have been - gorgeous if not for the evil that tainted his features.
Alex grabbed my arm and said, "What the hell are you doing, Rose? It's evil we need to go now." He tried pulling me away.
I turned on him. "Do not tell me what to do, okay? I won't tolerate it at all. Let me do this." I snapped.
I turned back to the ghost, and repeated my question once again, but with more strength. "Who are you and why are you here?" I looked at it. I stared really hard at him.
Alex left. He had left me in the pit of danger to save his own ass. What a bastard. I heard him run as the wind swirled around the presence and me. It picked up and made a loud swishing sound. But no matter what I would not forget the sound of the leaves and twigs crushing and breaking under his Nike shocks.
A voice came from the presence. It said "You are a brave one let's hope you can bare the wrath of me."
It raised its shadowy hands and spoke an ancient language. "De Lenora Aliquot!" A green light flashed. The bolt of electricity caused a bit of thunder.
"GET BACK!!" yelled a voice. Out from the woods Logan and Landon came rushing out of the woods. With them a bunch of ghosts came from the woods. They all shined brightly, so bright that it blinded my eyes. I stepped back and watched the angel-like ghosts crowd around the shadow.
"AGGGGGGGGH," The shadow swirled and sank deep into the earth. Everything stopped: the wind, the whistling, and the ghosts' psycho chanting. All of it just stopped once the shadow spirit went into the ground.
"Thank you, friends, you may go now." said Landon in his 'I'm so mean' tone.
I watched as every spirit left. Some went into the woods, some down the road, and some to the lake. It was weird. I have never seen that many ghosts at one place, or working all together. It was strange. Very strange. Now I knew why.
I felt weak and tired. I fell back down and blacked out. When a ghost manifests itself, it takes energy from anything nearby. All those ghosts together must have taken a lot of energy. And that's not even counting the evil one.
While I was blacked out I had a dream.
I was on a farm in the country. I was walking and coming up to a barn. The barn was old and decrypted. I thought it would fall down with just a breeze of the chilly wind. It was brown. I think I've seen this before, I thought. I walked into the barn's open doors. Inside it smelled like, well, a barn. The smell was mostly hay I think, but there was an under layer of something I couldn't decide if it was pig or horse. There was a boy with scruffy brown hair and brown breeches moving hay around inside.
"Excuse me," I said. Hopefully I was loud enough that he could hear.
He turned around and stared at me with a hint of, what I thought, curiosity in them. "Hello. Me name is William." William?! Wait, it can't be William. William doesn't have a British accent.
"I have gotten lost in the woods and cannot seem to find my way. Could you possibly help me?" Wait, I don't talk like that. I just looked down to realize that I was wearing the most beautiful gown I ever saw. It was ivory silk, or was ivory. Now it was caked in mud. I lifted the full skirt of the dress and looked at my more than mud caked shoes.
Omigod. This is the dress that Ivy died in.
