A group of friends have stuck together for nearly all their lives. Not because they always get along and not because they like to hang out with each other. Some get along and some do not. It doesn't matter, because they know they have to stick together because of their gifts.
Each person in the group of teenagers were born with a powerful gift. Maybe the ability to control an element, or maybe transportation. Either way, they were given it to fight the forces of another world. They know of their destiny simply because when they turned thirteen years old they were visited by pixie. Rare and pure creatures of another world. They are immortal and because of that, they don't reproduce. However the parallel world they control forces are starting to revolt. There is not enough Pixies to control the other world.
So they choose ten (maybe less or more, depends if this is popular or not) teenagers from New York City, because that's where the final battle is rumored to be, gave them a gift and told them to practice it because one day the pixies wouldn't be able to hold off the forces of the other world. The pixies choose them because they had no other choice. They then introduced the teenagers to each other and told them to stick with each other, protecting each with their own lives. Because if one dies, every one's powers are weakened. They need each other. So the group must stick together and practice always dreading and waiting the return of the pixies who cursed them with this power.
That day is very soon. The teenagers will only have the Pixies warning before the other creatures come to Earth and try to destroy mankind - wanting Earth for themselves.
The creatures of the other world include, vampires, elves, pixies, werewolves, wizards, etc.
Characters
What I want from your characters:
- Unusual
- Flawed
- The "best friend" technique
Unusual characters - these characters are the ones who you can rarely understand. They think in completely different ways then anyone else. Therefore, it makes them one of the hardest to create.
Deeply flawed characters - for me, personally, deeply flawed characters are the most fun to create. There are far too many characters out there who are either perfect, or almost perfect with only a few flaws. Then, the flaws our characters do have, get lost and you don't write about them enough. Please highlight the flaws because I grow to love character because of their flaws.
"Best friend" technique - not all characters are born leaders. In fact, in this storybook, I want no leaders. Our characters will work together with no one in charge. However, if one of your characters flaws is that they like to take charge of a situation nearly always, that would work. But he or she wouldn't actually be in charge. (;
Also, I am going to steal this idea from others, but I would like to approve your character profile first. Please post your profile in the DT first and once I say it's good, you can post it here. Sorry to be so picky, but I'd like this to last.

- Female - Can go back or forward in time by a weeks span
