Hey Kat,
It's the anime style you're going for, right? Now there are many ways of going about drawing anime. I think you've got the idea!

I really like the eyes and the hair. The hair is probab;y my favourite part, you can see different shades and tints in there, it just looks so good!

I don't like how there is a tear drop in the hair. Beacuse generally, when a tear rolls down your face, it slides down your neck, not right onto your body.

For a first attempt this is quite good! You've really showed your talents! PM if you do more!

So... manga? Hm... i can see where you're coming from, but the eyes need eyelashes, or just look at this picture for hints on manga eyes:

But i bet, with a little more practice, your manga work could be spectacular! Just keep drawing, and drawing, just like i did. ;)
Also, i like the hair, but the yellow looks so weird with the brown hair. the tear drops are great! I love them! the neck is too small and manga bodies are never that wide, they always seem to be a bit thin. Also you need to work on the hands and the chest area too. overall though, i really like it! The clothes are just great. ;)

This is good. Cartoonish, which I love because all I do is draw cartoons. haha

If I were to make some nit-picks, I would just point out that her head is too big and her neck is too small, and her right foot goes off in an awkward direction. Other than that, it's an awesome drawing! It's so cute, and I can just imagine her reason for crying. Her holding the rose was just icing on the cake! haha

keep drawing,

Classy

Cute! I think you show a lot of promise for a beginner. Her eyes are very good, but as someone else said, they could use some lashes or shine or something. Also, while anime tends to exaggerate features, especially facial ones, your head is huge, almost overkill. Her hair, although it is very pretty, looks like it weighs more than the rest of her body. Keep drawing, you can only get better!

Hello there, Jessy!

It's so cute! It's like a "chibi" anime style.

Hair: It looks flat on the head and I know you're trying to out-stand the yellow part of the hair but maybe you could've colored it lighter and it's pretty obvious that yellow doesn't fade to brown in your drawing.

Body: It's kind of cute, actually. Maybe improve more on her curves? :?

Eyes: I like it though it would be nice to add more details in her eyes and why she's crying? Poor Jessy...

Nose: Looks so small.

Overall: It's cute!

Keep drawing!

Peace out!

What no one else has mentioned is her shoulders. Whether you're doing anime or trying to be realistic, shoulders have a real angle. Look in the following picture.

The shoulders are in red for comparison. It's a hard habit to get out of, but rounding your shoulders as much as you have it here is unrealistic in any form of drawing (I know of) and in any human being. Just give things a little more of an edge and I think that could help a ton.

In the pictures, there are green lines along her arm. In the model, the hand is about... two-thirds the length of the forearm. In your picture, her hand is about half the length of her forearm. I always have trouble making my hands big enough so I know it's hard, but it has to be done. Also (this you can just add in), drawing in her elbow by putting in a little line or shading could help us understand how her arm is bending, which would add a layer of realism to the picture.

And in purple. This one doesn't have a comparison on the model. Her foot here is very flat. From this angle, not only would you see her toes, but you would see the angle. Let me show you what I mean.

Yeah, the foot isn't as flat as you'd think. Her left foot is good, but her right is just flat.

For her hair, I think that the black outline of the yellow streak makes it look like she has layers, or is wearing tie-in streaks. If you got rid of the black line and sort of blended the yellow with the brown, I think it would look much more natural (Note that I would probably know none of this if I didn't have a colored streak in my hair). Otherwise, I really like her hair.

I think her eyes are fine without heavy eyelashes. It looks plainer, more melancholy, and that's the emotion I think you were going for. However, they are pretty triangular. Next time try to make them a little rounder for that big, puppy-dog-eyes look.

I really like her curves. They are so natural, and in all the right places. But she seems to be more on the round side, while her jaw and arms are very skinny.

Nice job on the jeans. The wrinkles are really, really good. They look like wrinkles. And I love her belt.

If you added some light coloring to her face, I think that would make it stand out more against her lime-green shirt. But could just be me.

Overall:

This is an amazing first try. I remember my first try at anime... I can't do anime. This is nice. Her jaw is really good, it looks like she even has a chin. And your proportions, for giving her a Bratz doll head, are for the most part accurate. That's something I see quite a few people mess up when they do anime; just because things are exaggerated doesn't mean it can't be accurate. I know I ripped up a lot, but this is actually really, very good.

Keep it up!
