What's going on everyone? Rather new to the writing world, but pumped to get to know some people and just write!

Hi! I'm Emily! I've been on here for a good while, so I can explain things to you if needed. Anyway, what kind of things do you like to write? Do you have any favorite books and or authors?

Hi Emily! And thanks Well I haven't really been writing avidly for very long, so I can't say that I have one type of thing that I like to write more than another. I'll get back to you on that.

As for favorite books and authors, that's a much easier question! I love classics: Oliver Twist (favorite book of all time), Pride and Prejudice, Robinson Crusoe, Tale of Two Cities, the Sherlock Holmes stories, just to name a couple.

I like historical fiction, mysteries, thrillers, etc. Needless to say I read a lot

A Tale of Two Cities is one of your favorite books? Wow, I really respect you for that. I personally hated the book. But then again, I read it when I was fourteen. I mean to read it again, and hopefully enjoy it more.

I used to read a lot of mysteries and thrillers too. I don't anymore. Hmm, I wonder why.

First off, I see you have very refined tastes in fiction. I myself tend to stick to contemporary fantasy and some mysteries, like the Da Vinci Code. I know, not very original. BUT! I have seen the Pride and Prejudice movie, and I really liked it (although that might have been because it was Keira Knightley as the main character, and I'm absolutely obsessed with her).

Anyways, I know YWS can be a little daunting at first; it is a pretty big place, after all. But don't worry, because if you have any questions I'm here to help! I know, you are a *tiiiny* bit older than me, but when did that ever matter to anyone? I'm good for the money, trust me.

All Forums: This can be found under the 'YWS' tab on the header (the black bar at the top of the screen with all the linky stuff). This is an easy and fast way to head over to a specific area of the site.

The Community Forums: This is pretty much the same as All Forums, except it also shows the various subforums of the main forums, such as Nominations, Contests, etc.

Yes I have to admit, Tale of Two Cities didn't become one of my favorites till I read it after I graduated from high school. I would definitely suggest reading it again! But thank you for the welcome, and I will let you know if I have any questions!

Let's get to you're questions:

Favorite movie: That's hard cause I'm a movie freak, I love a lot of movies. But if I had to choose one... I'd have to say Shakespeare In Love. Cliche for a writer or avid reader, but I can't help it.

Favorite book: Another toughie... but I'm gonna have to say Oliver Twist. Fell in love with it in high school and have re-read it a couple times since then.

Best type of music: I like music that has some meaning behind it, and where the singer can actually sing. I mean i can listen to the stuff that's meant to be danced to, but I'd rather listen to something I can sing to.

What really annoys me: When people are insensitive.. and slow drivers on the road
