I pushed the book cart to the next aisle. I found the section I had been looking for, and pressed a book into position. I did this five other times in that aisle alone. Two girls, about my age, stood at the end of the aisle.

I could hear one of them thinking--about me, obviously.

Wow, look at her hair and her piercings. I'm amazed they let her wear that. I wish I was brave enough to do something like that.

I passed them on my way to the next aisle. I heard that same girl whisper to her friend, "What a freak." They both started laughing.

Amazing. Even with the C-Chip people are gossiping. And lying.

I went and sat back down at my desk in the front. I set my arms down and sighed.

When would this ever end?

Freedom is a privilege, not a right. We have to earn it, and sometimes we have to fight.

That's what my mom always told me.

How? I inwardly asked. How?

Sophie:

I gathered up my dress and my toe shoes from the dance. We had gotten a standing ovation and an encore and I felt more than happy. As I exited the lobby, many people flooded out of the auditorium looking for autographs. I dodged out of the lobby and into the street.

"Bzzt, Bzzt" I heard something in my ear. I shook my head around and heard more mechanical noises. I'd been hearing them a lot lately. I rushed through the crowded streets towards my flat. It was on the top floor of a building that overlooked a park.

I slowly wandered through the trees and up to the playground. A lone person swung there, she had dark hair that stretched to her waist.

"Do you have permission to be out this late..." She heard herself saying. Did she really mean to say that.

The girl glanced up, "I don't need permission," she muttered somewhat arrogantly.

"I-I mean, can I join you?" The buzzing in her head had grown louder now and it was actually starting to hurt.

"Whatever," the girl said, she looked up at her warily. I met her eyes, flashing before me came all her memories and thoughts...

"You're a rebel aren't you... fighting the C-chips..." I said, not knowing exactly what I meant. I found that I had never really controlled what I said, now I did. It was new, I felt I could say whatever I wanted.

"How do you know... are you a part of the Rebellion? Do you know where the camp is?" She asked looking up for the first time.

I searched her mind and tried to find some clue. The buzzing in my head was growing louder and louder until it stopped completely.

Saphire *Saphire doesn't know where any of the rebel camps are so one of the other rebels is going to have to come and help her out*
I felt an intrusion in my mind and immediatly put up barriers. "How do you know?" I asked again my hand resting lightly on the pocketknife I kept with me at all times. "I-i don't know." She said her face confused and torn. "Calm down." I sang quietly immediately she relaxed. "How do you know?" I sang my voice stern yet gentle. "I don't know honestly I don't." She said. I sighed knowing that she was telling me the truth. "You may join me." I said taking off my hypnotisiom. She said nothing just sat in a swing next to me.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

*I will try to bring our characters together. Just have your character get drawn to the fight. Also since there is supposed to be no violence, only people who are in the Resistance and the Government know about guns, martial arts, and stuff like that.*

Raven-

Sighing heavily Raven glanced over his shoulder. The area was suspisciously deserted, the shadows from the buildings lengthening as twilight deepened into night. He turned around and called into the shadows. "Hey the streets have already been cleared, it's kind of pointless to skulk around like that now."

There was a long pause and a faint rustling as several men stepped out of the shadows. Raven smirked, silver eyes flashing in the streetlight. "Eight men?" He taunted sarcastically. "Just for little ol' me? I'm flattered."

He ducked and rolled to the right, coming up behind a tree as gunfire sprayed over his old position. Raven winced as the loud cracks echoed through the air, they didn't have silencers. Sloppy, just because the public had left the area, didn't mean someone might not still be around.

Raven fisted his hand as blue white lightning coiled around it, he leaned away from the tree and sent the lightning jolting into one of the men, his scream cut off as the electricity coursed through his brain. Frying his C-chip along with his senses.

*Anyone who wants to get to the rebels feel free to meet up with Raven.*

After the library had closed, I walked outside, and started toward my home. With the C-Chips, there was no fear of walking the streets at night alone. That was pretty much the only good thing about them.

I turned the corner and stopped in my tracks. What the...? I thought. Some guy was hiding behind a tree while eight men shot at him. The boy--only a year or two older than me--saw me. And apparently thought about me too.

Crap, he thought. why is that girl here? These guys could kill her.

At that same moment the one of the goons saw me, and started shooting at me. I ducked behind a trash can that was parallel to the tree--and to the boy.

I've got to do something, the boy thought. I can't let them hurt her. I'm part of the resistance, for crying out loud.

At the sound of the word "resistance" my mind perked up.

You're in the resistance? I thought towards him. He looked back, stunned.

Saphire
I heard fighting from down the street. I ran down towards the sound of gunfire and saw a silver haired boy fighting 8 men with the guns. I snuck up behind one of them and slit his throat deactivating his C-chip forever. I snap-kicked one of them in the back of the head breaking his neck and his head fell forward as he slumped to the ground. By now some of them had caught on and shot towards me. I back-flipped dodging every bullet. I flipped forwards between them as they still shot at me without thinking while I wasn't harmed the bullets tore through them as if they were wet tissue paper though they hit most of them in the legs or arms. I stood up smiling slightly. "What do you want with him?" I demanded of one of the men closest to me. "Like I would tell you." He said trying to stand and failing miserably. I kicked his gun away walked towards him and pressed my knife to his throat. "Tell me or I'll slit your throat without a second thought." I said my voice cold and precise. "He's part of the rebels." The man replied slightly terrified. I smiled and said "Thank you." before slitting his throat. I turned towards the other men who then started scrambling for their guns. "Stop." I sang my voice cold and calm. Immediately they all stopped their faces blank. "Remember none of this and go to sleep." I sang quietly sparing their lives. They all immediately fell asleep slumping against the walls and each other. I smiled again and turned towards the silver-haired boy. "And you are?" I asked crossing my arms.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."
