So as a fellow art and music lover this is a very interesting drawing for me to critic. I love the perspective it's drawn from and I think that if it were just a piano at a straight angle, it would be pretty boring, so that adds a lot to the picture. The biggest thing about this is the fact that the lines aren't straight. A lot of the keys are all wonky, like will start out normal size, and shrink down at the end, so that needs to be fixed. There's almost always a sort of a lip over the white keys that needs to be more defined, I hope you know what I'm talking about, but if you don;t feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to try and explain better. I really like the shading, and I really like the piece overall.

Well, this is a really good drawing and I noticed you have good shading skills. So, commenting on this, Bondgirl is right when there are a bunch of wonky keys. The shading below the keys is a little rough. I don't mean scratchy; it's a like hurriedly-drawn. Also; I'm not sure if it is due to the slightly poor quality of the pic, but it looks like you've tried to give some shadow belonging to the black keys onto the white. If yes, you'll need to improve it, making it look proper. If no, 's okay.

I play the piano! This is very good, the only thing i don't like about this is that is looks dirty, and you should have used straight lines to draw the keys. But it is very good, I've just been practicing my piano pieces! Well done.

Oh, man, I love piano. And this angle. You did a really nice job.
I must be weird, because I love how the lines aren't straight and the keys are smaller to the right. It adds a real emotional depth to your drawing, instead of it just being a piano. If the lines were straight, I'd find this boring, but the fact that things are uneven gives a slight gothic feel along with the message that music isn't straight; it moves and changes constantly. I think you did a great job giving a story with this, whether it was intentional or not.
The shading is okay. It adds a little to the feel, but I actually think it looks more like the piano keys are dirty than shading. I personally think cross hatching would've worked better to give it some more emotion, but you're not me.
There are other things that bug me. The two white bars at the top - I think I know what they're supposed to be, but with the shading they have, it only looks like two white bars. I also would've liked a bench or stool, or some shading below the keys to make it more 3-D. But on the keys, you did wonderful.
Overall:
This is really cool. It gives so much emotion for me, and with something as simple as piano keys even. You did a really good job. You show a definite style here, and I would love to see what else you draw.

I see your point with the wonky keys but I didn't have a straight edge, the keys get smaller at the end because they are farther away, the closer something is the bigger it looks, there is a word for it but I don't recall what it is. It looks dirty because its been in my sketchbook for some time and the pencil gets rubbed around on the page when its closed...if that makes sense. Thank you for reviewing I appreciate it. -Bumblebee
Hello BumbleBee, I am quite fond of your piece here...I do not not consider myself experienced enough to be a worthy art critic, but I can tell you what I love most about your work. It has been previously mentioned that your "wonky" keys are a positive addition to your piece, and I quite agree. I think they add character and a certain bizarre flair to it that I love. I would agree that some aspects of the drawing appear to be rushed or hurried, and I would just encourage you to take more time with your work...make sure everything is the quality you want it to be. If you do that I think your drawings will be that much better!
