My first attempt at writing a fantasy novel. I hope you like it!
Stellar
The universe has never seen a day as unusual as August 3.
More than sixteen years ago, a comet sped towards the planet Terra. The fiery ball grew more and more furious as the speed build, and it quickly came closer and closer to its target.
Meanwhile, the star people of the skies were performing their daily ritual, shining bright in the navy sky. Only when they saw the flaming comet flying through the sky did they stop glowing, the sky instantly darkening. They knew they had to stop it, so they put their heads together and started thinking. They needed to create something that could defeat this comet, after all, the humans on Terra couldn't defend themselves.
Together, the star people used all their powers to make this defender. With some magic power, moon dust, and their own attributes, they formed the battler. They covered it with a silk cloth and then threw it at the comet, racing to keep up with speed of the burning rock.
When the attacker made impact, the comet stopped dead in its tracks and flew back in the other direction.
But not the same could be said for the star people's creation. Upon hitting the rock, the defender burst into flame and hurdled down towards the dark planet below it. The wind whistled in it's ears as it dropped through the ozone layer as it dropped into the grassland province of Bulbosa.

June Lewis sat on her porch as she always did late in the night, staring at the stars. She sipped of mug of warm hot cocoa as the star glittered in their regalness. She had begun to grow sleepy, but as she grew more and more tired, it seemed as if the stars had begun to fade. She pinched herself and blinked a couple times, but the stars still seemed to soften.
A few minutes later the stars grew brighter again, but nothing seemed right about the sky that night. Was she really just that tired that she was seeing things, or could this be some sort of paranormal event?
She suddenly saw a bright light in the sky, but it didn't look like a star. Maybe it was some sort of airplane, she thought. The light grew bigger and bigger, and she realized it couldn't - it wasn't a plane at all. Fire was falling from the sky.
She let out a gasp as she took the sight in, and she realized that this falling fire was going to land in her field! The field she had plowed all day to put her new fall crops in!
She ran into her house and swiftly grabbed a fire extinguisher and a flashlight before running back outside. The fire was probably only thirty feet from the ground now, and it wasn't as big as it seemed in the sky, but she still didn't want anything to destroy her well cultivated fields. She let in a quick breath as the fire landed in the field.
She expected the grass to burst into flame, but right as the fire hit the ground, it mysteriously stopped. June waited in silence, but nothing caught on fire. Nothing moved except the small gusts of air flowing through the valley.
She turned on her flashlight and slowly strided closer to the spot where the fire hit. She looked around the perimeter of the area, examining all the patches of grass.
Suddenly Jane heard a small little gurgle, and stopped in her path. She looked down to see a small little bundle, covered in dark purple, silky fabric. Cautiously, she picked up the bundle, only to discover that the fabric was covering something moving inside. She removed the material and saw a face, a heavenly, beautiful face.
A little girl with dark hair and blue eyes stared at June, her small mouth curved into a little grin. June inspected the girl, wondering if the girl had been the thing falling from the sky, and if she had been badly burned.
There was no sign of damage to the girl. No burns, bruises cuts. The baby didn't even seem even a little hurt, in fact, she was one of the healthiest babies she'd ever seen.
As the baby stifled a giggle, June smiled and slowly turned back to the house.
