After a few hours I found a small stream.I drank and drank. AHHHHH. That was much better. That night I cleaned out my leg and cut off my hoodie sleeves as bandages. I then shot some fish and made another fire.

Waking up started to think of a plan to save Schera. Would have to sneak because I had found that trying to kill the wolf things did not work to well. I would have to wait for my leg to get better though.

Day 2

I was thinking about how I could get some armor. It remembered some thing about raw hide. It was coming to me... If you get the hide of an animal and don't tan it.... It would become hard as a board! I set out to get a hide.

Day 3

I knew it would be a stinky job and I was right. The smell was over whelming and the bugs... But this could mean life or death. In the end I got probably more than enough.

Day 4

I got back to camp and washed the hides in the stream and also some thin cords I had cut to sew with. Then I scrapped off the hair, fat, and meat. I strung it all up to dry.

Day 6

The hides were really drying now. I had cut some very long thin strips to sew with. I also remembered something about when it gets wet it is not skiff anymore. It was true. Dry the hide was like a board. I even shot a corner with my bow and it just stuck in about two centimeters then fell out. I started to plan what type of armor I would make. since the hide got soft when wet I thought I could make a mold of my upper body to lay a hide on. I would also make one for my back. The two peices after they were cut would form a sort of vest.

Day 7

This was the day I planned to make the vest. I also had some shoulder guard molds formed. All the mold I had made of clay that was now dry. I was hoping that after I picked up the armor the raw hide would hold its shape. I put all the hide I thought I needed in the steam to soak.

After awhile I took out the first piece and laid it on the clay. Cutting around the edges to fit the other piece. After all the pieces were down it looked quite strange. four mounds with wet hide on top of them...

Day 8

The sun was out and hot when I opened my eyes. I went out and felt the armor. Hard as rock! I picked them up. Last night I had punched hole around the edges of the vest to sew though.

I had the two pieces together and the shoulder guards on. The shoulder guards really went down to my elbows. I then put it all on. It was rough but I fit snug. I was glad I made it as big as I did or I would not fit. I punched my chest and I hardly felt a thing. I also tried cutting though it with a arrow. No luck! I also made some straps to make the shoulder guards tight. If any thing clawed at me it would have no luck. I thought about making leg armor but I had to go and get Schera. My leg was healing. I could run now.

Day 9

I set out back towards Schera's trail.

*I think our groups need to meet up soon... that way we can continue the storybook a bit easier.

** I've decided to kill off the people who weren't posting.

Farix:

For the past week we had been wandering around, and night was our best friend. It was the only time when we could all rest. On a travels we hadn't encountered any of the others which suprised me since the beginning. I was constantly wondering if we were the only people that survived because the things were vicious, but then I had to assure myself that we weren't the only people left.

During our meandering Sara had been constantly been hovering around me. I think I like her. Lucas usually walked a few feet behind us, but I wasn't sure he was mad at us or what. I knew there was something I was missing, but I didn't know what.

We all sat around a camp fire. Sara had fallen asleep with her head on my shoulder, and Lucas sat across from me poking a stick in the ground. "Where do you think we are?" I ask him.

"I have no idea, and I'm starting to think that we will never find anyone else," Lucas said.

"I agree, but what can we do. The only thing I can think of is," then a high pitched scream inturrupted my sentance. Both of us sat still doing nothing for a few seconds then my brain started running again. "I'll go check it out since I can get there fast. Wake Sara up then head toward the noise. If we get seperated meet back here," I told him.

With that I slipped out from under Sara and moved as quickly as my healing leg would allow. The screaming had stopped for about thirty seconds when I crested the hill. The sight below me was horrifying their bodies were lying on the ground. Iffy, Fanta and Alexander had been killed. Shifting my one eye from side to side I gazed about. Whatever had done this had left in a hurry.

Without a hesitation I sped down the hill to my fallen friends. They were cut up in numerous places, but I checked just to make sure they were dead. That's when the tears came.

Sara
I woke up to the sound of screaming. I sat up and immediately nocked an arrow into my bow. I pulled the string tight and turned towards a noise behind me ready to shoot. I saw Lucas standing there and he lifted his hands up. "Lucas what the hell is going on?" I demanded letting my bow tip down slightly. "I have no idea Farix went to investigate the screaming and he told me to wake you up and then follow him towards the noise." He replied. I stood up. "Let's go." I said my voice calm and flat. He said nothing but we started to walk. We reached a hill and saw Iffy,Fanta, and Alexander. I raced down the hill my mind racing 'No,no,no.' Was the word my mind chanted. I made it and knelt down beside Iffy. When I was going to feel for a pulse Farix said in a bleak and desolute voice "It's no use." I sat down and felt tears well up and start to spill down my cheeks.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

O.K. so these "things" that killed the non-posters :) could attack me and Randolyn. . . But, what are they? If no one knows any ideas?

Instead of attacking you I think that you should follow the screams and meet up with our group because it will probably be easier to post as a whole.

Lucas

Dead. The only ones left, it was true. It hadn't been before but now it was. I felt a deep anger boiling up in me, we'd been just there, right there, just metres away from them! For how long had we walked parallel to their steps, seperated only by the span of human sight. I didn't cry for them and I felt bad about that but if I'd had any tears in my husk of a body, they would have been cried for myself. The three weren't even a vague memory, I hadn't cared about them but- I was all alone.

It was impossible to not see the relationship growing between Farix and Sara and one day we would be older, if we survived. They'd have children and I never would. If one of the others had survived, a girl, or even a boy, at least I wouldn't be alone.

"We should bury them," I said, wondering how long it would be before we stumbled across the next group of bodies. I almost hoped they might have been eaten to save us the trouble. It was a callous thought but I didn't want to see death again. "Or I could cremate them?"

"Don't you care?" Sara demanded, wiping uselessly at her tears. She looked small and fragile. I felt bad but it was a numb feeling; I'd forgotten how to truly care.

The whole time I walked I used my camo just in-case. I found the trail and then the cliff I had been on. So far there were no signs of the wolfs... The air was still and it was fading into night. I followed the trail of blood. I was getting very hard because of the lack of light.

The trail now lead onto almost all rock. They were not little rocks but huge slabs in the forest floor.

I snuck around a corner of a bolder and saw a cave entrance. Pressing against the rock I looked again. It was a huge gaping opening. As a slight wind whirled around my face I could smell a foul stench. It was putrid. This must be where they live. I know that we had killed quite a few of them and I wondered how many there were. I hoped not many! The only way to find out was to go in. That would be awful foolish though. I devised a plan. I would wait til one came out then kill it. Then I would get good and stinky off its pelt so that they could not smell me. Or at least not as well. Then I think that they would come looking for the missing one eventually and I could kill those as well. The more I killed the less would try to kill me. I started up a rock to get a good angle on the door. Then I waited. waited. waited.

I judged about three hours later I heard to first sound. Then a large group of about ten beasts charged out at full speed. They were heading down towarrds the clearing where all those others were. It seemed so strange that I had not come back and talked to the others. After I got Schera I wanted to try and find them. The beasts had about ten or so miles to go. They would not get to the others for awhile. With all of those creatures gone I decided to go in. After all I did have the raw hide and it smelled somewhat.

I creeped into the opening looking all around. There were a few tunnels going off to the side but for some reason I would think that they would keep their future meals down deep. The main tunnel was doing just that. Going deep into the earth. As I went slowly farther. I could hear some grunting and snorting off in the side tunnels. I just hope they did not hear me. Lighting was not a problem for they were smart enough to get fire and torches. Then I hear a whimper. It was about 30 yards away around a bend. I peaked around the corner and saw some type of cage and a guard. I slowly turned back so that the guard could not see me. I nocked an arrow and drew. Jumping around the corrner I aimed and shot right in to the beasts open mouth. Schera sat up and looked straight at me. Who's there! I whispered back, "Oh, I am just a guy that was short a bow thanks to you. Could you please not take my best chance of NOT getting ripped apart away again. It was really kind of annoying when you did it the first time." Schera said, "Of course! I do not know what I was thinking!" She smiled all innocent. I did not buy it. She was sly alright. Then I looked around for away to get her out. She had huge chains on her arms and legs. They looked big enough to hang a million tons from the ceiling. The links were as big around as my waist. I guess she have tried to get out before... "The keys are on the guard." I looked and they were around his wrist. I opened the cell door and then undid her chains. "They all just went out to try to get more prisoners. They have been waiting to eat me at a feast tomorrow but they wanted at least one more person." I whispered back,"O.K., Lets get the heck out of here.

Sara
I wiped away my tears got up and started to pace. I spotted a raven sitting in a tree. With a jolt I realized it was in the perfect position to have seen what had happened. "Come little one." I sang quietly. It flew from the branch and landed on my shoulder. Lucas and Farix just stared in amazement but I kept my focus. "Can you show me what did this?" I sang. It seemed to nod and took off up the hill. I followed it and it landed on top of the hill next to a pawprint that looked strangely human. Then it hit me it was one of those wolf thingy's pawprints. I raced down the hill and about halfway down tripped and started to roll. I snagged a treebranch and managed to hold on. "Sara are you ok?" Farix called. "Peachy keen." I said sarcastically. I stood up and on shaking legs made it down the rest of the way. "Well the wolf thingy's got to them." I said my voice grim. "And that means?" Lucas asked. "They're still nearby the raven showed me a pawprint and it can't be more than 5 minutes old." I said my voice still grim and calm.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I guess sunstarfrozenlifem isn’t going to post so I will. Can someone list who's left or I guess I could try to figure it out...

KK or Carissa-Two more of the wolf things came into sight I froze in terror all the blood the... No. I hadn’t thought about that for a week. That’s when a beast came for me. I dogged at the last minute and overdrive took over. I spun then started to run. My path was anything but straight, and I dogged in and out of trees going this way and that.

I stopped looking back for a moment. There was a scream, and I knew it must be Randolyn. Why did I always run? Why was I always the one who go out free? Because I am heartless I thought, but even then I couldn’t turn back.

Randolyn

At least KK was free. That was a relief. Unfortunately, I wasn't.

But I was pretty good at climbing. So, looking like a completely fool, I climbed up the tree and sat there, staring down at the wolf thing.

"You're not that bad, are you?" I asked, taunting it. But I saw a bit of human in it that looked curious at what I had said. I turned away.

And then I threw up. Ugh.

sorry...i'm a wee bit busy with my subjects right now...

Schera

As he left, i smiled again. I placed my uninjured arm by my back and grabbed the key for the chains. Good thing i didn't tell that the beast he killed through the mouth was the guard. How pathetic for he to follow but then again, i owe him one. I tore out a part of my clothes and wrapped it on my wounded arm.
It stung a lot that i needed to bit my lips to ease the intense pain. I limped out of the cave and try to follow him. I took one leftover dagger and placed it on my mouth. My uninjured arm was still calming the pain by slowly rubbing it. Don't want to get infections.
When i reached just behind him, he was walking into what may seem to be a large opening since i can feel a lot of wind going to me. I felt tense particularly wondering if they were still those beasts. My earing may have recovered but it was still not as good as it use to.
"hey!"i yelled out towards him.
I felt both him and something else reacting so i spat the dagger just-i hope-to be the top of the cavern. It was the stongest spat i made due to the point that it smashed to the ground blocking the entrance.
"Can we go now,"i said. "Don't want us to be captured. Don't know how long will it hold them."
i predicted to him to be nodding. he murmured something but i can't quite hear it. My hearing is slowly getting impaired. great....i'm lost my sight, my arm and now my hearing. sigh.
As i felt walking to me, i opened my arms and gave a smile. "Can you carry me, my leg's a little limpy :)"
John McClane: Drop it. It's the police.
Tony: You won't hurt me.
John McClane: Oh, yeah? Why not?
Tony: Because you're a policeman. There are rules for policemen.
John McClane: Yeah. That's what my captain keeps telling me

One of the things I love about YWS is the quote generator. For example, I'm reading a really serious work, and then I see "Moo. - cow" at the bottom of the page.
