These are a few pictures that I took over the last year. I hope you like them! I need people to point out the faults. Give me advice. Don't just say it is good. O.k. :smt002

Hiya there!

So the first one is definitely the best of the three. The background is blurred perfectly and it's just a really cool picture overall. But my eyes tend to wander down to that second drop for some reason. Probably because the main focus is so off to the right, if it were just centered a little more it would be perfect.

The second one is okay...there's not much to it. It's just sort of a river/stream thing. I think if it were not so close to the water, maybe taken from a little farther back, it would be nice.

The third one would be pretty cool if it wasn't for the fact that on the left half is that bookcase and a sliding door. It takes away from the professional feel, and makes it into a normal picture. Backgrounds are almost as important as the subject itself, it's not there, it's a part of the picture.

So hope I helped somewhat!

Good luck and keep snapping photos ;)

Hey there!

Wow, the first one is simply stunning. It's amazing, really. I can picture that on the cover of a book or something! Good job.

The other two, however, are amateur. They just look like family photos you would take on a trip and show friends when you got home. There's nothing great about them; no cool angles or colors. They're just kind of boring!

But, if you can take more like the first one, you have a future in photography. ;)

Hello there, and welcome to the site- well sort of- anyways I'm curious if your curious to know. Your pics are truly divine and I loved how you captured them and shall critique them individually.

The first is really nice but to be honest I preferred it if the background was not blurry though, but that's my opinion.
The second is my favorite second, but like OO7 said it was a bit to close to the water and would have look better if you had taken a few steps back.
Finally third is the beloved canine- which is so cute by the way- but you should of move a little to the right to capture the rest of his body.

Overall they were all beautiful.

Hello there. :) I hope all is faring well for you, wherever you are. I'm in a good mood today, just plain euphoric. Anyhoo.
The first picture is very, very nice. I loved it the moment I saw it. Quite a bit, too. I was very impressed, nice job. However, the second pictures are just what Classy said--amateur. They do indeed look like just pictures you would take out of boredom. Nothing special. Snapshots. Sometimes snapshots can turn out quite wonderful, but I'm quite afraid that the latter two pictures did not make the jump to "wonderful snapshots".
Nice work, however. Keep it up, keep practicing.

I really, really, really, like number one. I took a picture very similar just a month ago, it just won't let me upload it. It says the picture is invalid. Does anyone know what that means? I also super liked the third one. It is pretty cute, pictures like that are hard to capture.

Hey there!!

Well, first of all I have to say that I loved your pictures they are truly beautiful especially the first one since you used blurriness with perfection and I liked the focus that you gave to the picture since it makes it different.

As for picture number two, it's good, a good picture of a landscape but nothing that would really drag my eyes to the picture. It looks like a normal picture I would take, as the reviewers above have said, it looks amateur.

As for the third one, too many things going on in one single picture and that really is a problem in pictures. If the picture would have been with a different angle, it would have been great.

An advice that I can give you is to try different angles, the angles of the two last photos were kind of boring since its an angle that we all see and we all can take a picture from. But as a photographer even if you are doing it just as a hobby, try different angles, try making a simple picture turn into a work of art, or something like it.lol.

Also work on the focus, the focus on the first one was beautiful but the other too are quite boring, and there are too much things going on in each of them.

so hope I helped,

Do any of you use a computer program like Gimp to make your pictures better? I have heard that they can really help.

I really like the first one. It seems like a professional has done it, the second is also great and I envy you for being near such a beautiful sight. The third is really cute; i love your dog! I hope it's your dog...

I cannot do anything with a camera, and really-epically-horrifyingly fail! I think they are all just perfect!

Hey!

Wow! You really have a talent for photography.
The first, as everyone said, is the best.

I agree with Classeh on the second. The place probably looked beautiful, but it isn't always beauty is captured by the camera. So, you'll need to work on that, not just what you see.

Third: You could have done loads with this. Like changed the angle so, we focus on some particular thing. Also; the background is very disturbing. The focus should be in the dog and not on things around it as well. Focusing on the dog and the sofa together would probably look good, colour coordination wise.

Keep up the photography.

Hello there!

I must say, I really love this photos! It's quite exceptional and totally unique when I saw this. From the first photo, I could tell that you mainly focused on the small branch with a small droplet of rain...blah...blah. But really, I totally love it. The second photo looks really cool, the canopy behind those trees makes me feel that I'm on that place. The last photo, you took it very well. The dog's funny because it was quite a stolen pic.

keep up the good work! Hoping to see more!

Peace out!

Hey there! I agree with everyone about the first picture being just stunning. It's like you've captured this tiny moment in time, and as soon as that water drips off the branch, it'll be gone forever. Nice work!

The second one looks like you were in a pretty spot, held up the camera, and took a picture. So while it's not a bad picture, persay, it's not a very interesting one. You need a focal point of some kind. In the first and last photos, the focus is the raindrop and the dog, respectively, but in the second we don't really have anything specific to look at. You're the photographer - show us what you want us to see!

In the last one, I love the angle and the lighting that you caught of the dog, but as others have said, the background is distracting. Having just the bookshelf there would have been okay, but the bookshelf plus the patio furniture plus whatever the stuff is on the right was just too much. That dog is too cute; do it justice :)
