wow, awesome work, dude. You've got it very detailed, and just abstract enough so that it is like other famous paintings, such as The Scream, but not so abstract that we can't understand what's going on, and the silhouette tops off the picture perfectly. *applauds* :D Keep writing...or drawing.

I initially had a duuuuuh, palm/forehead moment when I saw the image of your painting. I'm a huge Monet fan, so I was thinking, "Wait... that looks like a Monet..." and then I read your caption. Oh wait... it is. :P

It looks great! I would love to see a more detailed image.

Wow!

I love how you blended the colors and it looks really cool! It's abstract, but I can still tell what it is. I absolutely love the sky, the colors and how you painted it look really nice. I espechially love the little clouds that are hiding the glimmer of sunlight. Bravo!

Okay, so I don't browse around the art forums much, but I DO have arty friends so I have some idea of what good art is all about. And that is really stunning, I have to say. The colours are breathtaking and the whole scene...it's dark, but the funny thing is that it's not deep - it still retains an element of lightness so it's not overwhelming. I love how it's kind of on the edge - but not really, either - in the sense that it's the last moment before the sun sets, and it's sort of spooky with the craggy cliff, but there's an element of slight mischief that makes it look less serious and slightly cartoony, taking away from that evil-ish element.

Good work!

That is just amazing, I mean you really captured how the waves in the water look like. I also love the way you made the ground scenery a bit gloomy using silhouettes. The sky is quite colorful, and this really captures the feeling for a great sunset. Keep it up! You're doing great!

This is really good, even for your age! I can't even paint, but I like all of it. I can't really review well because I'm quite busy, but I just had to say something. :P Really good! Love the reflection on the water from the light and the colours, the textures and the silhouetted mountains. :D

Hi again! I really like this. It's very accurate and...awesome. ;) It reminds me of these paintings that Clive Barker did for his book series, called "Abarat." This is exactly like one of the islands he drew.

Look up "Abarat" on Google images, or something, and you'll see what I mean. :D

Keep up the good work!

I love you painting! It looks like you really enjoyed it and I hope your proud of it because it came out really nice.

I've never seen this specific Monet but the one you did turned out very pretty! I love the detail in the water and the clouds. The colors are beautiful as well, so great job blending them just right.

I second the request for a larger/higher resolution picture so we can see the full detail of your painting. From what I can see in this photo though it looks fantastic. Not much else to say but keep painting! :D
