New writer - hence a noob.

I'm new user of The Young Writers Society and I go by the name Mortimer. I hope I enjoy my time here, and I'm able to meet everybody and grow as a writer/person. Hope you're all having a nice day and thanks in advance for making me feel welcome...?! !

I'm living in Canada right now but I'm actually from Taiwan. What I've written before now was some (silly) fanfiction on winglin. The reason I came to YWS is so that I could fabricate new stories out of my mind instead of writing about the two same characters over and over again xD.

And who I read is actually a very good question. I'm pretty much all over the place in terms of that. I read stories from romance to pyschological horror. As long as it is written well, I love it! Though, the only author that I have found myself going back and searching for what else he/she wrote (excluding series authors) is Sarah Dessan.

My hobbies include photography, drawing and painting, sculpting, analyzing people (I just love pyschology), sleeping, playing the piano and just aimlessly wanderng around with music in my ears.

I don't really have a favorite cheese, but what's yours? I do like the cheese on pizzas, but I can't have them anymore because recently I've been having negative reactions to dairy products.

Hello, Mortimer!

With your range of hobbies you shouldn't have any problem coming up with original material for your own stories. A lot of those hobbies are art related, and you can find parallels between the different inspirations. For example, writing about a portrait that inspired you in your photography could help you find a new character and a story behind it that's based on SLEEPING! OH YEAH, I love sleeping, too. Haha.
