Our Apocalypse

Stars spatter the sky.
I long to douse their luminosity
and create another Hell on earth.
Shadows gather poisonously onto flesh,
as the hissing pentacle rises again
upon the sepulchre doors of the damned.
They never came together to understand
that the reign of man will fall.
And when the moon veils herself,
We shall rise all at once,
once again.

Our Apocalypse is here.

In this disemboweled arena,
a broken promise seals the curse.
Genocidal thirst generates chaos
on the mountain tops,
and broken wings beat on shards of glass,
unfurled to hurl the world back to its bitter black.
As a corpse wind howls,
awakening from its slumber,
the dead doused in gossamer shreds
will bore freedom into gorgonise eyes.
The skies teem alive
to watch time die.

You've never had to crawl, you've never had to see,
what it feels like to be so trapped underneath

the weight of someone's world, comes crashing down on me

I was longing to be free, I put the bullet in you and me

This is my farewell to you and I,
this will all end in tragedy

This poem just emanates all things dark and demonic!
Shadows gather poisonously onto flesh,
as the hissing pentacle rises again
upon the sepulchre doors of the damned.
This is my favorite line, very in depth and paints a horrific picture that burns into the mind. I won't be getting this poem out of my head for a while. I commend you, wonderful use of vocabulary and especially the poem's form.
Every experience is a paradox in that it means to be absolute, and yet is relative; in that it somehow always goes beyond itself and yet never escapes itself.
T.S. Eliot

This is real good! Dark but good!

I'm not a poet and had trouble understanding some phrases but its well written and very descriptive. Your poem gave me an idea for a book! Thanks!

verry good poem, it was really in depth and created a horrific and believable picture. the best part for me, and i don't know why, was when you said and the moon veils herself. that is called personification, which is were you turn an object and make like a person. this is the type of thing you have to do in your exams at the end of high school, so considering you're eleven, you did really well. verry good poem

I have writer's block. I can't write. It is the will of the gods. Now, I must alphabetize my spice rack.
