I drew this on windows Paint. They're characters from my story, Fleirzon--Verdeyan and Gattlin.

Woah, you did that on paint? I'll give you props just for that, it's super-hard to create good stuff on it. You really pulled it off, though, creating a beautiful picture in a difficult program.

I like the picture, it's very colorful.
The thing with MS Paint is that it truly is
difficult to get it to look realistic unless
you know what you're doing.
As far as I can tell, you did a pretty good attempt
at it.
I think the few things that I noticed were the lines,
they are very unclean, perhaps taking the time to clean up
your lines abit would really affect how the picture would turn out.
I'm also not really sure what the purple in the background
is supposed to be.
Also, the lines for the guy's shirt seem alittle thick for the rest
of the lines in the whole picture.
But I liked the way you did the hair on both of them, it looks cool!

Wow. MS Paint. That is really good for such an impossible program. I would kill to see what you could do on paper.

I'm going to critique the girl first.

What I like/love:

I love her eyes. They look so real. The coloring/shading is great, her eyelashes look really nice - a little on the heavy mascara side, but still great for Paint. Positioned wonderfully. No matter how hard I try, I can never get my eyes to look right from that angle. The right eye (her left) looks smudged, like you flipped a chunk around. But otherwise, the eyes are pretty magnificent.

Her eyebrows look like eyebrows. That's saying something, because I've seen some bad eyebrows.

The hair is really great. It has realistic body, and it actually has curve in front! I hate doing hair because mine ends up looking like spaghetti, but this looks great!

Oh, and her tear... Oh, it's so good. Here, when I put it all by itself...

Oh, I love it. I actually makes me a bit depressed. That is really, very nice. If you put a tiny, darker line at the bottom to make it stand out more, I think that would add to it a ton.


What I think needs work:

Her lips stick out further than her forehead. Now, guys have foreheads that can really stick out, but girls don't have forehead that seep in. Apes have little foreheads, not people. This little thing is keeping her from looking that much more realistic. Just stick it out a little.

She's squished. Her jaw end too soon, making her look like she has a double chin. The jaw ends about halfway through the head, if that makes sense, while here it's about a quarter. Also, her shirt collar makes it look like he neck is half the width it should be. If you make these curves less sharp, it'll look more realitic.

Her nose looks like it's profile view. It's just flat. I'm not saying do shading because that's impossible on Paint, but give it a little more curvature and maybe a nostril, that could help a lot.

Her lips are good, just a little lumpy. If you could smooth that out, I think it might help.



For the guy

What I like/love:

I love, love, love the outlines of his shirt. They look like professionally done inks. It's awesome. If you tinker with anything, do not change these. They are perfect. I love them.

The coloring in his hair is very nicely done. It gives it that extra little something that makes it what it is.

I really like his nose. It's better than the girl's by far. His bridge has shape, his nostril is very good, and the lines around his eye is nice, too.

Did I mention I love the outlining of his shirt?


What I think needs work:

I don't like the hair. Now, please don't take this the wrong way, because this is one hundred percent personal opinion. You did the hair wonderfully - it looks like hair. It's just that the guy looks like Napoleon from the front. Note, every picture of Napoleon I've seen is of him balding with thin, scraggly hair. It looks kind of thin for how thick it is in the back, which throws me off.

I think his jaw is too short and needs to be more upturned. Let me look at my brother... No, now he's yawning... Well... Yeah, it needs to be upturned. This right now is down-turned.

His eyebrow is actually excessively bushy, to the point where I'd tell him to wax. It has a good curve a the edge like it should, but it's very tall.

For some reason, I don't like his lips. They're nice and pale, since in my opinion guys shouldn't have red lips, but I just think that something's wrong. I can't place my finger on it (don't you love me for that? ), but I think it's wonky.


Overall:

This is positively amazing for MS Paint. I could never have something turn out like this on such an unforgiving program. There are some things which, if this had been on paper, I would never forgive you for. But this is Paint we're talking about, and for that, I give you a thumbs up.

Wow, this is great for MS Paint! Amazing! Even more amazing if you just used a mouse to draw this (did you?).

Things I Like/Things You Did Well On:

-The girl profile is about perfect.
-You did a great job with the eyes angles.
-Hair. I like the different colors.
-I like the girl's expression, her tear, and how her eyes are half closed.

Things I Didn't Like/Things You Need To Improve On:

-The guy's nose is way too high up on his face.
-Generally chins aren't that thick and long, but yes, some people do have chins like that.

Besides those two things, awesome job! Hope I helped-
