CHAPTER 5
Learning About Dominion
YEAR 009X
Alucard scrunched up his furried canine face as he sat in the middle of the road. His metallic tail swinging from side to side as he thought of some sort of plan. A plan so they could get to Washingtion D.C. and find out more about this Dominion person and the military's plans in general. He had remembered what 64 had told him earlier about the name DOMINION and not long ago it stood for a very top knotch organization. DOMINION was kept secret from society and when 64 was still human he managed to overhear some higher ups talking about it. He doesn't remember much about what they said, but it wasn't like it was a whole ton of information anyways. Alucard couldn't help but think that if they gained more information they could learn of a way to get their bodies back and perhaps anyone else who was stuck in this position. Even though they didn't need to worry about anyone interfering there was the huge problem of just getting there in the first place. Neither of them could remember which city they were in but they could remember most of their memories.
64 darted out of a building frowning with disatisfaction, "I can't find any maps anywhere"
"go see if any of the cars still have keys in them maybe we can find a GPS in one of them" Alucard pointed at a row of cars.
"Oh hey look, a sign... it says 'Welcome to Salt Lake City, Utah'" 64 read aloud slowly before frowning, "well now, wasn't that just a waist of time"
"I can't believe we just waisted a whole day looking, and then that stupid sign just appears" Alucard stated rather frusterated "I don't recal seeing that sign there before though" he shrugged.
"Okay, but we still need a map to guide us there or el-" 64 was cut off by Alucard who was walking towards a car.
"hey wait, we can't drive. We don't even fit in the cars let alone try and grip the wheel" 64 shouted and ran after him.
"ahh, good point" Alucard looked at his four beastly legs, "but we can run"
"I guess so, but won't we get tired? And wouldn't it take forever anyways?" 64 thought about it for a moment, "well I guess we aren't considered normal beings"
"Yes! And besides, we were built for warfare so we should be able to run pretty fast and not waste our stamina for awhile" Alucard trotted in a circle.
"And as for a map..." 64 reached into one of the cars and yanked out the GPS with his mighty jaws, "this should work" he said holding it near Alucard's mechanical arm. "If I just plug it into here it should turn on"
The GPS booted itself up and the automated voice started rambling on. After a few minutes of fiddling around with it they managed to set their location for Washingtion D.C. but it was all thanks to the voice automated feature or else they would have been at a total loss. Alucard clipped the GPS onto his robotic arm and began to walk towards the outskirts of the city.
"Perhaps we'll find more people like us on the way there" 64 said trotting ahead a few meters.
"Maybe... but how do we know their not insane or something?" Alucard stated, "but I guess we'll never know until we see it for ourselves and frankly were going to need as many people we can get"
"Why more people?" 64 asked puzzled.
"Because I don't want to spend the whole trip with just you" Alucard laughed and broke into a full out run.
"hey!" 64 frowned and chased after him.
Meanwhile, hidden in behind a small general store watched a darkly colored figure. It watched Alucard and 64 leave the city and frowned.
"It looks like following them will show me the answers I've been looking for" it sighed and quietly followed after them, "DOMINION won't get away with this... not this time anyway"
