CHAPTER 4
Something Revealed

YEAR 009X
Alucard closed his eyes as the blinding light dispersed and it was visible in the room again. Alucard blinked and within just a few moments he noticed he wasn't in the abandoned medical room anymore with 64. He layed on his side flatly and looked around, it was bright again and there was no sky. It was all white and the floor he was laying on was also a blank simple white color. There seemed to be no walls and the area he was in looked like it could go on endlessly for eternity. His face began to soak in a wet substance, Alucard shifted his eyes downward where he noticed the filthy substance was his own blood. He quickly stood up, only to fall back down because his metallic arm was gone. He lifted his head and saw it lying over by some dark figure.

"I've been expecting you... Alucard" it hissed.

"What... what is this?!" Alucard bursted out and as confused and scared as he was, he was just speechless.

"It seems you have something that I've been waiting for... yes, I've been waiting for a very long time now Alucard" it smiled menacingly.

Alucard regained his balance and sat upright "You mean my arm?"

"Yes, this arm is very special you should know" it replied.

"What are you talking about?" Alucard narrowed his eyes.

"Unfortunatly it can only fit onto the damned souls that were experimented on, meaning someone like you" it laughed horrificly, "so, I've tweaked it alittle bit for you, you'll need it more than I do right now" it waved a goodbye and everything started to fade away.

"Hey... hey wait!!" Alucard shouted at the fading figure "who are you?"

"My name... is Dominion" it replied with a malicous smile.

The area Alucard was in began to swirl around and he began to get lightheaded and then everything went black. When he awoke he was back on that same old green couch and there stood 64 towering over him. Alucard shot up with eyes wide and terror filled. His mechanical arm was back onto his body and he held his pounding chest with his clasping claws.

"woah, you look like you've just seen a ghost" 64 replied frowning.

Alucard scrambled up the stairs and pushed the door open and walked into fresh air once more. The sun's rays burned his eyes and he winced.

"hey slow down!" 64 shouted behind him, "there's not much out here"

"what happened when I fell down the stairs again?" Alucard asked eagerly.

"Well, you passed out again so I put you on-" 64 paused "wait, did something happen to you?"

"yeah..." Alucard replied regaining his breathe, "although I don't think it's something I can explain easily"

64 smacked Alucard on the back in a friendly man to man manner. The sun was hot and it made the empty road feel like burning coals were on the ground.

"how about we go somewhere else" 64 mentioned, "and then you can tell me all about your little dream"

"it wasn't a dream!" Alucard shouted angrily.

"fine, whatever you say" 64 smiled and began to walk away.

Alucard was determined to get to the bottom of all of this. That dream he had, certainly felt real enough. But he couldn't say forsure. The two of them reached a wooded area which probably used to be one of the cities parks. It was all grown in with tall grass and large trees. But there was still a noticable fence that looped around the border of the park and a few benches here and there. It was considerably shady and rather nice to lay down in. Since they were no longer humans it would be uncomfortable and probably impossible to sit properly on a bench.

"So" 64 said laying down beside an old tree, "tell me about this experience you had, it's important to get any information we can get whether it be real or not"

Alucard explained entering some kind of dimension that was just blankly white in color. It seemed to have a rather peaceful and heavenly presence to it but that didn't last for long. He also explained how his mechanical arm was gone and it was in the presence of some darkly cloaked figure that resembled them in some ways.

"Could it be whatever you saw was also an experiment, like us?" 64 suggested.

"no, it couldn't be it was just... different from us" Alucard took a pause "it had a disturbing scent and it had a non human feeling about it, so much that I just wanted to run away"

They both sighed in unison.

"It said that it tweaked my arm so that it could be useful from now on, it also said that it was expecting me to come" Alucard thought about it somemore. "I wonder what he ment by that"

"well maybe he cursed it or something!" 64 laughed.

Alucard simply frowned, "well for now we should focus on why we were turned into the way we are"

"Well since everyone is gone we can do whatever we want, we could search through any military top secret documents... wow think of all the things we'd find!" 64 dazed off.

"The WhiteHouse probably has something we could work with" Alucard suggested.

"yeah but that's all the way in Washington D.C." 64 moaned "and for some reason I can't even remember what city were in"

"yeah, same here." Alucard agreed, "It's like parts of my memory are still blank"

"Oh and by the way, did that thing you saw have a name?" 64 asked

"Yeah, it said it's name was Dominion" Alucard replied.

"Dominion?!" 64 widened his eyes.

"Does that mean something to you?" Alucard looked puzzled.

"You have no idea" 64 replied shaking his head, "you have no idea..."
