Okay! So there are tons of questions/answers about writer's block with hundreds of hints on how to get over it.
But...
I seem to have this really strange case right now, and it's bugging the crud outta me! I know what I want to happen later on in my novel, but I can't figure out what should happen at this point. I'll have a small idea, but then I go back to write it out and it just doesn't fit.
I've tried writing out my ideas, searching through similar stories and even totally irrelevent ones. Nothing clicks.
I'm talking about The Pain if you're all wondering. But that's beside the point. Thild hates Lakisha's guts and I plan on getting Lakisha to earn Thild's respect by making some heroic attempt. There's one twist when she gets back to the other reality, but that's supposed to come later. Then there's where I want "somebody" (that "somebody" is rather obvious) to make an attempt on Dellan's life.
All of those things come LATER. Right now I need to figure out what to put in to make things lead up to those events.
It's a weird case of W.B. and I can't really describe it. I'll have an idea and then I go to add it and it either doesn't sound right or my mind draws a blank...tips or even ideas of what to put next would be awesome!!
