This would be my first submitted drawing. I tried to copy the original picture from a tattoo book but this is just it. My dad's a tattoo artist, that's why. This is what I can do at least for now. I have to practice more.

Hope you guys like it! :elephant:

One thing you need to watch out for when you’re drawing something like a butterfly, specifically something that is renowned for its symmetry, is that you really make sure that the butterfly is symmetrical. I don’t even mean the pattern within the wings so much as the size of the wings. The right top is a good bit smaller than the left and it’s definitely a bit of a distraction.

Another thing to watch out for is how you shade. The pattern is nice but you can really see the pencil marks which is just another thing to be careful of.
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Hey,
I agree with lilymoore, you need to make it symmetrical as that is one of the key things to a butterfly. I like the antennae and the nose, I think you drew that quite well. The shading looks a little sketchy, you could fix that easily by going over your shading. Are you going to add colour or a background to it? I think it would really make it look cool.
You don't have to take any of my suggestions, but you might want to think about it.
WELL DONE!

Like was already said, the right wing's smaller than the left. The eyes/nose/etc. are drawn really well though, and I think if you added some color it'd be even better.

I really like the idea of this.
But yes, like said above you did not make each side symmetrical.
Try using a ruler to measure each side so their not off.
I think it looks alittle rushed more towards the middle
of the picture. eg. the nose and the eyes could use some more detail since
it an upclose shot of the butterfly.
But I really liked it! Good job!

Hi Yuriiko, I think your drawing is FANTASTIC!! People like to pick on the small details but really you can't with a drawings. Unless that person can draw the exact same thing better they should not criticise.
Your drawing is great. I found someone is draws similar to me (not with the fusing animal thing).
Anyway great drawing. Put more drawing on...

Hey Yuri! :)

I really like this! Yeah, it could be a bit more symmetrical but its still pretty good! I love the idea of clashing two creatures together, it makes the picture look somewhat exotic. I also love the eyes of the tiger. They look so dark and elegant.

I'm not nearly as good a drawer so well done! Keep it up!

Hey Yuriiko,
It was pretty good with one problem. Your symmetry was a bit off. For you I would recommend pracicing your symmetry, starting with the basics and working your way up. Best of luck.

Hello Yuriko,

to be honest, that is a wonderful picture. To be honest one more time, I have never seen such a great drawing like that. I undertake art lessons and I honestly have not ever seen anything that good before. you should actually stop talking badly about it.

Hey there, Yuriiko!

It's been ages since I last reviewed one of your pieces! To jog you memory, it's RepublicOfCoter (R.O.C.) here to review you Butterfly Tiger!

I think that this is a wonderful drawing. That shows your imagination at work. Your shadowing is done well and I simply love the design of the butterfly. How cool would it be if there was actually a butterfly that looked like that; it would have fantastic camouflage because it will easily scare off any predators near by. I don't really mind that it's not symmetrical, I think it's fine just the way it is!

Great work!

MWAHAHAHA!

Woah! Yurri you have talent!

I'm woah. Shading, form, everything: AWESOME!

That's all I can really say. I'm not much a reviewer when it comes to art...anything for that matter. I like the way you shaded - especially around the eyes - it just makes it seem a lot more realistic. The eyes, they're just fantastic! I want that as a tatoo now. To bad, I cannot get on, though.

This drawing in itself is amazing, there are a few technical things that could be tweaked but that will come with practise. Being an artist myself I can really see the detail that you have included when shaded and I feel that it's done brilliantly. Well done :D Not only can you write with amazing talent you are also a really good artist. :]

I'm not sure if I've commented on this one though I feel like I've seen it before.. but anyway, like the first commenter said, the right wing is a bit small, but that can easily be fixed. The nose and eyes are really good, I'd just clean up your lines a bit more and get more lights and darks in there. You have a lot of dark darks and a lot of really light lights, but you need a few happy mediums in there as well. Other than those little things, you have a solid picture here =]
