Hey, I'm new here :)

Hi, everybody! I'm new here... If anybody has any tips/hints/unofficial rules to share, please do! I've been on message boards before, but not this one. I'm an aspiring writer currently working on my first fantasy novel (I'm in the editing phase - 2nd draft). Can't wait to meet you all!

Haha, yes I'm a huge HP fan!! I've written a few short stories (all of which I've decided I didn't really like about a week later...haha), and I've written some songs, and then I sing and play guitar with them. My favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini, Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Nicholas Sparks...the list goes on! haha What about you?

I'm Lava and welcome to YWS! It's great that you love to write fantasy! I love reading them.
A few tips to get you started:
1. Make sure you don't use chat speak. I noticed you didn't here. Good job.
2. Well, it's good to review other people's woks. Besides the fact that your reviewing skills will improve, the more you review, the more your works get reviewed.
3. There's the Read/Write button on the black bar at the top of each page through which you can post your works.

And, I love the authors you mentioned! I'm waiting for the final installment of Eragon to come out.

So, if you need any help, need a review or if your are confused by something, do PM me. I'd be glad to help.
Oh and, you can always pop into the chat to meet other awesome YWSers.
