Jodi Picoult???

I have always loved Jodi Picoult's writing, and it's a pity I have read everything she has written to date! Some favourites included Nineteen Minutes, The Pact and Salem Falls was pretty fun too. I love the intensity of her novels; the careful blend of intellect and emotion, and a plot and characters like you wouldn't believe. She has definitely inspired me to write better!

So...who else likes Picoult? Why? Favourite books?

And I'll bet you're just dying to comment on her breathtaking ability to transport you to a place that is so amazingly similar to your own, but so wildly different, with such a careful blend of heart and mind, and a stunning storyline, every time...

Who liked 'My Sister's Keeper' - the film based on her book?

I love Jodi Picoult books as well! ^_^ I've read The Pact, Nineteen Minutes, and My Sister's Keeper, and I think my favorite was The Pact. The only problem I find is that you know there's going to be a twist, so it loses the element of surprise because I've come to expect whatever's most unexpected. And she likes to end every paragraph with a profound statement.

But she is a marvelous writer, and character-weaver.

Almost the same as my favourites! Yeah, I loved The Pact, too - it was GOOD. I actually like knowing there'll be a twist, but not knowing what it is - but I see what you mean. And I think her beginnings AND endings are superbly crafted.

Somehow, the plot doesn't matter to me as much as the characters - but obviously, both are brilliant for the story to work .

All I know is that I know her. I sometimes ignore her books when I visit our local bookstore but I'll try reading some of her books. XD
