This is a prologue, but I don't know where it will go, I know its short, but I will add more.
The trees rustled as I walked through them, I brushed my hand across a fern. Pain suddenly flashed across my palm. Immediately I look at the plant: Silver fern, of course. Hurrying forward, I find an oak tree. Rubbing it on my hand soothes the pain, but I need to find a stream. Listening for the familiar soft trickle, I hear something else instead, footsteps. Quick but steady. I don't know who it is, and I don't want too. Seeing a low branched pine up ahead, I run to it, climbing quickly. When I reach a safe distance from the ground, the men come into the clearing. their faces aren't familiar, nor are their voices. They wear normal clothing, but I can sense something is wrong with them, then I see there eyes, black, lifeless. My heat freezes up, my breathing halts. I had to get out of there.
