KD's Color Edited Photos

Photos not taken by me. Only edited by me. I just started doing this a day ago, so at the moment I'm experimenting with these photos and Gimp. All of these started out as colored photos. Hopefully I can add on more soon!

How do you do it? Its awesome, I must tell you. I like the second picture the most with highlighted flower bells. I also love the rainbow with bright colours in a black-white picture. its mind-blowing. I don't have more to say.

I love the black and white photos with the color only on the parts you want to emphasize. My only suggestion would be for the black and white flower picture. Have only one flower colored. It really draws attention away from the flower in the center if the flower on the side is colored also. Great photos!!

Thanks for the comments, guys. @ Shubhi: Well, I opened the photos in Gimp (a Photoshopish tool), made different layers of the photo (copies on top of each other), made one layer black n white...well, there's a few more steps, but nothing too too complicated, even though it may sound so. And sometimes things like Photobucket have the 'colorsplash tool' built in, so you don't have to use a complicated tool like Photoshop. If you are really, really interested and would like to try it yourself, I can give you some more detailed (and longer) instructions.

i love (not LIKE, "love") your pictures. especially the last two pictures. the red flowers (second pic.) are so cute and lonely. the rainbow is also very cute, especially the way it goes with the leafless trees.

However, I think your editing made the photos brilliant. I must say the first one the reflections in the water are superb, and the second one reminds me of...flowers. It's very pretty. The only one I didn't quite like was the one with the rainbow. Maybe it's just me, but the rainbow looked sort of odd with all the colors. *Shrugs* Maybe it's just the angle of the photo.
Tsk, tsk, but these are very impressive. Nice edits.

Wow, these are spectacular. I especially like the first one, though the others are really nice as well. The middle is really effective with the color contrast, but maybe because the color is pink (nice, but not my favorite color) that it isn't my favorite. The third also has that really stark contrast, and all three are eye–catching. Well done.

This is so cool and unique. I have no critiques, no critisism...nothing to really pick on you about! Overall, just plain cool!!!

They are pretty darn nasty (like awesome)! The first one looks like you added a red layer of the water? I don't like the part at the bottom right where it goes from red water to blue. It isn't very good of a transition, sorry!

For the second one I'm assuming you masked the flowers, made backdrop black/white, blurred, and possibly increased the brightness or changed the colors on the flower? I didn't find anything wrong with the second, but I like the third one a bit more.

This one is not nearly as well done as the second, but I like the whole rainbow thing you had going so it is my favorite.

Well, these are good! I like them , especially the second. (I love those flowers, I make those kinds at home!)
Also; kudos with using Gimp. My head is tuned to photoshop, and I can't figure out Gimp.

1. I don't like it so much. The editing doesn't make it unique or doesn't make the viewer enjoy the scene.
2.No complaints.
3.I like it, but maybe you could've tweaked the ground to be a bit darker to blend into the trees. (Just a personal suggestion.)

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback...hmmm, for the top one, maybe I'll try playing around with the reflection more. (I updated all the photos with the photo editing process I used.)

Hey there! I would first like to say that I love all of these pictures.

Maybe it is because I love black and white picture with color but I think that the first one is awesome! The trees without leaves shown in black and white make the picture seem depressing, but the color rambow brightens it up.

I think that the second one is my favorite, I like all the different colors in the picture.

And lastely the last picture. I again love the black and white with a pop of color. The only critique I have for this one is just having the flower in the middle in color. I'm not sure if I like the side flower to be in color.

Well thats all I have to say. Nice job!

These photographs are glorious! I especially like the second. The contrast in colors between the sky and the reflections are so appropriate and consuming. I am totally drawn in to it, so a definitely A+. The touch of color to the lights in the third photograph is wonderful as well.
