Natas:
"What on earth did you do?" I shrugged and scratched my head nervously.
"I, uh, punched a tree." She said something under her breath and tapped her foot loudly. "What?"
"How are you going to fight with bloody knuckles?" I scoffed at her tone and flexed my fingers.
"There's this little invention called a sword and plus I don't need to engage in hand-to-hand combat. Calm down, I can pull my own weight."
"But its peeling." I pulled off some loose skin and frowned at it.
"So. It's not a big deal."

BREE and NUK

Bree took a deep breath. It was lucky that the a storm as big as this one was rumbling around today. It calmed her like nothing else could.

"Gee thanks," she rolled her eyes at Adaer, her sarcasm returning.

He shurgged, smiling. Nuk, realizing that she was returning to her good mood, flew upward, flipped, and carefully took her back to the ground.

"I don't know if I can face the Elders right now," she sighed as they landed. "I can only imagine how childish they thought I was."

Adaer and Lupria touched back down next to them.

"Might as well go and face them again," Bree grumbled. "Besides, if they won't let me scout, then we might as well organize a plan."

Zara and Roshan:

I sighed and looked towards Roshan. We might as well follow them back. I climbed up into her back and she launched herself into the air, following the other two back to the castle.

We landed outside the castle a bit later than the others. Roshan had decided that it was time for some aerial acrobatics. I sighed and climbed down off her back, looking around.

Resigned, I left Roshan outside and slowly made my way into the castle.

Manarian and Reitsprea

Many heads, including Manarain’s, turned as Bree and Nuk reentered the meeting hall. They stood in the doorway for a moment, before returning to their seats, followed by Adaer and Lupria. There was an awkward silence in the hall until one of the Elders broke it.

“Ah, Bree, Adaer. I’m glad you found the patience to rejoin us.” He gave them a stern look before turning to the rest of the congregation.

“Now, as we were saying,” he continued, “We have agreed that a scouting mission is necessary, correct?” There was a murmur among the younger Riders, and a few of the Elders nodded. “Now, we must decide who will the party include, and when it will set forth.”

Do you think that we’ll go? Asked Reitsprea, eyes fixed on the group of Elders, who were now talking amongst themselves.

I believe so. We have the most seniority of the new Riders. Manarian replied, also gazing at the Elders.

The Elders talked for some minutes, during which time conversations between the Riders broke out. Manarian and Reitsprea, however, remained silent. Eventually, though, the Elders turned to face their restless audience again.

One who had not spoken yet cleared his throat. “With their consent,” he said, “Would Nalani, Mayten, Zara, Asterix, Kallo, Tay, Manarian, Adaer,” there was a slight murmur from the crowd, “Bree,” now a loud, surprised whispering, “and their dragons to remain behind. As for the rest of you, dismissed.”

All fixed. She's in there now. People should notice in a few minutes that Zara's not there.

[Thank you for the chance to drop back in - I've been following for a while but wasn't sure how to slip in >.<]

~Kallo~

I blinked in shock as my name was called, Avena lifting her head slightly with a similar reaction. Together with the other riders we made our way to the Elders' platform. I had no idea what had made them select me - maybe it was to motivate the others with my utter incompetence? I shot a quick look at Avena and noticed with surprise the grave expression on her face. Maybe there could be a chance... a chance that we could finally learn to work together.
Or just fall flat on our faces.
Suddenly there was a commotion, and I looked up, having zoned out for a moment and missed what they were talking about.
"Where is Zara?" An Elder called out, several others around her looking concerned. A hush fell over the group, and the Elders immediately began muttering within themselves.
"Send out a search party," one murmured, and a small group of Elders dispersed. "As for the rest of you," she continued, "You will now be given your briefing. The task you have been given, should you choose to accept it, is of great importance to the future of our nation."

[Maybe if we pm some of the members who don't respond and ask if we can kill off their charas? That way we don't have to make new ones and it could be very discouraging to the good guys, plotwise :D ]

Alice:

I clicked my tongue "Natas, what am I going to do with you. I can protect you from people trying to murder you but not the trees." I shook my head and said "Wrap your hand and go to sleep. And you better be able to use a sword tonight!" With that I turned on my heel and went into my room.

BRYSTIANNE and NUKPANO

Bree couldn't help the pur hate that was bubbling up in her stomach at Manarian. It was his fault that she couldn't go to scout. The others would only slow her down.

"Excuse me," Bree said through gritted teeth, attempting, at least, to be polite. "But we've got a problem."

"Yes, Brystianne?" One of the Elders asked.

"We have a problem," she sighed. "Well, I don't being that Nuk's a storm dragon, but the others do. See there is still a storm outside-"

"The storm is not our biggest problem," another Elder said, angrily. "Zara is missing!"

"Yes! I realize that!" Bree shouted, temper rising. She took a steady deep breath.

"But as you can see, there is still a storm! And whether Zara is missing or not, it'll be hard to see from the skies in this kind of weather. Should we split the scout team up or take twice as long, go as a group and look for Zara first then scout the others?"

Manarian and Reitsprea

Manarian watched as Bree worked herself into another fit. It was ridiculous. She was a competent rider, when it came down to it, but she kept shooting herself in the foot every chance she got.

“Zara will be fine,” he said coolly, his arms folded and not looking up. He knew this would irritate the elders, but that was rather the point. “Besides, a search party has already been sent out, is that not so, Mistress Andromeda?”

The Elder who had issued the orders for the party nodded. “Yes. My colleges are organizing it now.”

Soooo I would love to join as a bad guy if you are still accepting them? I saw the illuminated vacancy sign out on the freeway and thought it'd be fun!

Eighth-

I waited anxiously. It was almost eleven, and nothing had happened, or so the sentries I had posted kept telling me. Would they really do nothing? Not even send a small party? I was eager for blood, and I wanted it now. If they didn't come by midnight I would launch an attack of my own.
Honey, you should see me in a crown.

I would imagine you can still join, Lumierre... just have your character as one of the riders selected :) It might be quite hard to join on the bad side, though. Basically the good side are just arguing.

~Kallo~
"Maybe we should start making a plan," I suggested warily, concerned that Bree would bite my head off. She rolled her eyes, still glaring at everyone in general.
"The only plan we need is to split up." she spat out, crossing her arms irritably. "The other dragons won't manage in these conditions!"
My brow furrowed slightly. "Couldn't the storm dragons..." I paused. They couldn't manipulate weather, could they? Damn.
"Maybe we should split up," I agreed slowly, noting Manarian's appraising look and wondering whether that was a good thing or not. "The water dragons go by sea, storm by air and..." I faltered. "I'm not sure about the others."
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
