Alice:

I hopped off of Ash and as I stepped closer to the people they all took a step back. I grinned to myself. So they've all heard about me.

(Um, can we say that Nalani is in her room now, unaware of the meeting and when the other dragon riders go to bed or something they fill her in and she's back in the storybook? I think that would be good :) )

Eighth-

I circled above as the shadows raided the village. I had no time for child play. I was plotting. A war would ensue after I took the throne, that much was sure. As the kingdom was under my control, I woulds send a wave of civilians to weaken the other Riders. I would then send a wave of the weaker shadows. Hopefully, it would not comedown to me. If it did, I now had Toser for protection. It wasn't that I didn't want to fight- I did- but I needed to keep my new kingdom intact.A weakened ruler was nothing more than an obstacle, and I needed full power to continue conquering.

Toser

Malachite hung in the air above the town for a few moments, his wings beating every now and again to keep him aloft. The powerful gusts of wind issuing down from each flap knocked a few civilians over, but Toser was not concerned with these. He looked up for a moment, seeing Eighth circling above them, and a wry smile came to his face. Well, Malachite, if she wants to hold herself out of this conflict, I've no problem with that.

The shadow dragon let out a silent laugh, then dropped the rest of the way into the town. They landed heavily beside Ash and Alice, and the black dragon's neck stretched out, his eyes surveying terrified villagers coldly.

Toser looked at Alice for a moment, and laughed, seeing her smile. "Well, it's good to see you feeling better again." He turned back to the town, tilting his head slightly, smirking, completely sure of his superiority in this situation. "Will none of you step forward to challenge us? I can personally vouch for the fact that my dragon will not attack anyone you believe capable of facing me in single combat." He chuckled, "And I'm sure Alice here would agree to the same terms ... if you can think of any of you can best either of us."

Alice:

My grin widened as Toser asked for a challenge "I most certainly would egree to the terms." I rested a hand on Ash's side "And she won't hurt you unless you provoke her or I tell her to, which I won't." I looked around the crowd "Anyone?"

Natas: I laughed at Toser and Alice. "Well, unlike those two, I can in no way promise Shadow won't rip your limbs into pieces." I pushed fear into their mind and laughed as I watched them tremble and drop to their knees. I pulled out my sword and walked over to one of them. "You, stand." He got up slowly, still trembling. I put my sword under his chin. I pushed up a bit and smiled when a small stream of blood course down my blade. "Take me to your leader." I laughed at my own stupidy and dropped the blade, turning around to face Toser and Alice. "Where do we begin?"

Alice:

"Where do we begin?" Natas asked. I tapped my finger against my chin and said "Hmmm." Looking through the crowd I spotted a man who looked strong. I grabbed his arm and he shuddered at my touch "You seem strong." I positioned my body flirtingly. I rested my hand on the side of his face "Hmmm. Yes, and handsome too. I think I'd like to fight him." I leaned in and kissed his cheek softly, something I always did with my male opponets.

BREE AND NUK

She was bored. Her and Nuk both. The Elders never knew what to do for fun. And they always seemed to pick crappy times for meetings. Right now, there was a perfetly good storm brewing outside and she was missing it.

Bree rubbed Nuk's long snout. "We'll be out there soon," she muttered and looked at Adaer.

"How much longer?" She groaned.

"I guess we're waiting for the others," he grumbled.

"They're slow," she replied, folding her arms over her chest. "Look, can't you just tell us what's going on?"

The Elder looked at Bree with annoyance. She thought she heard him mumble something about 'young riders' before going off to see the other Elders.

Zara and Roshan:

"I know, Roshan," I whispered. Manarian glanced at me. "I'm going," I muttered, directing this to Manarian. He grunted and I stood up.

The elders shot me a glare as I left the meeting hall, Roshan right behind me. I thought I heard something about impatient but I could be sure. I scrambled up onto Roshan's back once we got outside and she took off, gaining height as she flew.

We flew for what seemed like hours-and probably was too-until we saw a village.... And terrorising that village we four dragons...and their riders. One was circling it, a huge white-ish dragon and it's rider. Three others, two black and one white were on the ground, in the middle of the village.

I frowned and Roshan swerved to stay out of the circling dragon's reach.

You are not thinking of going down there, are you? Roshan asked and I sighed.

"If we don't," I told my dragon. "People might die."

So could we, she replied. I sighed again.

"It's a risk I'm willing to take, Roshan," I whispered and then told her to dive.

She landed behind the other dragons and roared, making the three riders turn towards me.

"Natas?" I asked, shocked.

**Yes, Zara sort of knows Natas... :xd: **

Natas: I turned around and stumbled back a bit. " Zara," I asked, not believing at all what I was seeing. Zara, oh my lord. She was my best friend, back at the academy. But, as we grew older, our paths seperated, for obvious reasons. She choose the good side and I choose the bad side. We had'nt talked since. For a moment, I considered having one of those sappy, Lifetime, slow-motion running hug scenes, but she was the enemy after all. "You know her," Toser asked, shocked a bit. I ruffled my hair and sighed. "Yeah," I mumbled. "I know her." Zara started towards me and I could hear Shadow roar defensivly. 'Don't you remember her,' I asked him. 'Don't you remember Roshan?' Shadow turned his head to the side and breathed a bit of fire into the air, causing the villagers and Zara to cringe a bit with fear. Toser cleared his throat and I shook my head, remembering my duties. "If you arent here to either A.Fight or B.Join us, I suggest you be on your way." I drew my sword and waved it at Zara.

Zara and Roshan:

I hesitated. What did he just say?

I sank down onto my knees, hands up as I eyed the sword Natas had pointed at me. "I don't want to fight you, Natas."

Zara! Roshan roared. I winced. Roshan roared again but she wasn't talking to me, she was just not making sense anymore.

"If you won't fight," Natas told me. "Then join us."

"Why should I?" I asked. Natas didn't answer. "Do I even have a choice?"

He sighed and turned to the boy beside him, who spoke. "Can we trust her?"

"I don't know," Natas told him. The boy glanced towards a girl and then looked up at the circling dragon.

"I'm going to get her down here," the boy said and lowered his gaze until he was watching Natas.

"Toser," Natas warned but the boy was already heading for one of the black dragons. Natas turned back to me. "Choose now. Join or die."

I lowered my head. Roshan wasn't happy, that much was clear.

"I surrender," I said in a low voice. I heard Natas put the sword away and grab my arm.

"Tell Roshan to follow us," he hissed. "And not to make a scene."

"Roshan, do as he says," I choked out. Roshan fell silent. Great, now I was in the hands of the bad guys.

Toser

So Natas knew one of the weakling riders, and needed to be prompted to do his duty to their cause. Toser found it at once both amusing and irritating. On the one hand, it was an obvious weakness on Natas' part. On the other, it meant that he could not kill the only person in this village who he deemed worthy of a fight. Alice had her plaything, but Toser would rather someone he could have a real fight with.

He watched the skies for a few moments, a sly smile spreading on his face as he did. Well, I wonder how much Eighth will enjoy this new turn of events.

Malachite gave a low chuckled in his mind. I doubt Natas and this...Zara would appreciate the same.

Toser looked back down, fixing his stare on Natas, a cruel gleam in his eye. "I'm going to get her down here." Natas could hardly stop him, no matter what he wanted. If he tried, Eighth would no doubt see that there was a problem amongst her companions and intervene anyway. Toser doubted it would come to that, no one wanted to see those tensions brought to a head.

"Toser." Natas warned, but the shadow rider had already thought things all the way through. He swung himself up onto Malachite's back, and, with a final look at Natas, the two of them shot up into the skies, there to circle close by Eighth and Phobos.

"I can't help but notice that the red and her rider down there appear to still be alive." Eighth said, looking across at him.

Toser shrugged, "Natas has a problem with the thought of me killing her. Seems she's an old friend of his." He laughed, "You should take it up with him."

**Alright. Um, Zara and her dragon are meant to turn traitor and join the bad guys. She does know about the good guys, so the idea was to torture and brainwash her until her and her dragon turn dark side. :)**

Eighth-

I looked at Natas. "Natas. Who is this girl?" I asked. She looked vaguely familiar. "Zara." He said weakly. I glanced down at her red dragon. "Well, well, well. I do remember her. What a nice little surprise. I'm sure she knows lots of information about her nice little Rider friends, hm?" I glanced at him. "We're taking her captive.Allow me." I said, diving towards the ground.Phobos breathed fear on the girl's dragon, who then stood paralyzed. I gave him a pat and hopped off. I walked across the square to the girl and looked at her closely, letting a little fear seep into her mind. "No," I thought aloud. "We're not going to kill her." I punched her head, and she fell unconscious. I turned to the others. "Tie her up. Muzzle and chain the neck of her dragon. We'retaking them with us to the castle for interrogation." I said, shooting a look at Natas. He looked slightly relieved and slightly enraged. "Toser. See to it that that gets done. It's time we went to our new base."

Zara and Roshan:

Roshan allowed herself to be chained up, her large silver-blue eyes on Zara.

Zara? Roshan asked, but her rider didn't stir. Roshan was worried now but not scared enough to fight the boy chaining her up. Zara, wake up.

The white-haired girl looked up at Roshan and the red dragon glanced towards her.

"Let's go," she said, watching Roshan. "She'll do as you say, Natas?" Roshan looked towards the boy the girl seemed to be adressing. The boy's head was lowered but she saw him nod. "Good. Hurry up, Toser! We need to move!" The white-haired girl turned away. "Alice, quit playing with your toy! We're leaving."

There was only the sound of chains and movement for a moment and then Natas picked up Zara.

"Toser will take her," the girl said. Reluctantly, Natas handed over Zara to the boy and went to his dragon.

"Roshan," he called and she lifted her head. "Follow me and no funny business."

Roshan snorted and lay down while Toser handed Natas the end of the chain and went to his dragon. Zara now clutched in one of his dragon's claws.

The white-haired girl called for attention and then jumped onto her dragon's back. Soon they were all off the ground and flying away from the village.

Hours later, I woke up, feeling woozy. Was that a dream? I groaned and rolled over, looking up into a pair of dark eyes framed by white hair. No, not a dream then. A memory-Roshan's...but where was she? Where was my dragon?

"You," the girl said. I saw Natas and the other two rider's standing behind her. "Up."

I slowly got to my feet, my eyes on Natas. He looked upset...and was that a black eye? I suppressed my crazed laughter. I probably look worse than him, I thought and then met the gaze of the girl in front of me.

Why should Caesar just get to stomp around like a giant while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet? Brutus is just as cute as Caesar, right? Brutus is just as smart as Caesar, people totally like Brutus just as much as they like Caesar, and when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody because that's not what Rome is about! We should totally just stab Caesar!
