My abstract pattern thinger!

Okay, so I made this last night. This is actually going to be along the lines of my new bedroom walls! Well...I only get to do one like that....then another one I'm graffiting my name onto! The other two have to be a solid color though.... But anyways...

Oooo... pretty colors! ^_^

I love the randomness of it all and all the pretty colors. My only concern is the lack of movement, rhythm, etc. To me it just seems like a really pretty mess of chaotic colors, possibly a background for something. Nothing really draws me in.

Try sticking to a color scheme, or create something that is moving through the piece or make some items darker and some lighter to make it look like it has depth or something like that.

Overall I think it's very pretty... in a chaotic sort of way.

BTW what colors are you going to paint the solid walls? Because if you choose a color scheme I'd go with something that complements that. Just an idea. =]

Yeah, I get the color scheme thing a lot... I have a few pieces that have some sort of a scheme to them, but I've always loved going crazy.
There's one I made last year, but I can't find it... It's my favorite!! I actually wanted to put that one up instead but....
I was mad...

I love this abstract design. I think you should frame it. I think that for some of the drawing that should use a different medium and play with the values of the design. It would be interesting if you identified where the light is coming from in your picture and try to do some shading accordingly. Have fun painting your wall. Fiction

Love the chaos, which I think a lot of people sort of shy from in art(for good reason - it's hard to make chaos look good, but you did ) In a weird way, I actually think there's a good balance in this; your eyes don't sort of linger towards one place in the picture or the other because of specific light or dark spots. Cool.

I have to agree with Stevie though. There doesn't seem to be much movement in your piece. Stevie had given some really good suggestions on how to sort this out. Read what Stevie's said, take notes, and you should be fine!

All in all, I really like this! It's bright, it's fun and it's very pretty! Well done.

Thanks!!! They are all pretty similar, but hey, why not? My mind and emotions don't seem to change much...so neither do these apparently.

I've never really been into abstract art but I am liking this piece a lot! I love the different range of colours and shapes. I thought such a spectrum of colour would make the piece clashy but it actually works out pretty nicely. Great work, keep it up ^^

This picture really gets me thinking. The first thing I thought when I saw the picture was that I could see alphabet letters in there. Strange huh? Well I really like the colors, but I think that you should have made the picture bigger though; it would have helped.

Okay, so, I liked this. The colors are fantastic--you do a lot of work like this, I see. This reminds me of a childs mind--carefree, and so abstract. If you get what I mean. I almost did see alphabet letters, like DayDreams! Haha! Maybe I'm going insane.

I really like this! I thought all of the colors blended beautifully and the images were very unique! (Was this on canvas?) I paint too...I might try something like this.

haha! Thanks! No, it wasn't on canvas...it wouldn't be very easy to scan if it was. I do like to paint things like this, but I also like scanning them to the computer, so most of my abstract is on paper.

Ooh, I like this! Part of my says it's "boring" because it's just a random abstract pattern, but then another part of me is like "nice, it's colorful and exciting!" lol I know...I'm weird. O.O
