Hello, I'm Babbling Brooke. I've actually been on here for about a week or so, but, as you can see, am just now introducing myself.

I have recently started writing and am loving it. I'm working on a novel right now. I joined this site to see if it could help me improve my writing skills. I'm also curious to see if people will like my writing or not. I've let my friends read some of my stuff before, and they've seemed to enjoy it, but writing on here will give me a bigger audience.

I like listening to music, reading, and, of course, writing.

So, there's my introduction.

Hey, Brooke! What kind of writing do you do? Like, in what genre?

Also, I would encourage you, while you're in the midst of so many other writers, their opinions, suggestions, and knowledge, to try out some other kinds of writing. I mean, if you write romance, try horror or science fiction. If you write science fiction, try a poem or two. I do recommend that whatever you do, as you work on your novel, to try to write some short stories, poetry or shorter pieces to keep you varied. It's also easier for people on the site to critique a shorter story than a couple chapters of a novel!

I like writing fantasy, but I do have a few ideas for some short romance stories and a few other short things. I'm going to try some poetry at some point, I've never really tried it before, outside of school assignments.

You should definitely try some poetry! It's a really good thing to learn about the power of words and how to construct sentences. I never really /did/ poetry before I came to this site, but I kept learning more and reading more and I find that I really love it! Hopefully you can discover something like that about yourself, too! ^_^
