This photo was taken by a 6 mega pixel digital camera. That's why it's kind of bad... I took it while I was on holiday in Tampa Bay. Basically, it's a cherry in a slush puppy! I've shown the picture in two sizes because I thought the smaller one was kind of too small... I thought that this picture looked pretty cool, so I decided to share it with you guys.

I love the bright color of the cherry- it makes you look at it. The angle is great, but I don't like the background of the cup behind the cherry too much... it's a great picture though.
Wow, this was in a slush puppy? It's really hard to tell, and it certainly isn't bad. You've angled the picture so perfectly that the light hits the ice perfectly and I love how it's multicolored. One thing I don't like is the edge of water against the cup; as it's semi distracting and sort of ruins the whole pristine image.

That is just so gorgeous. I love it. You have loads of talent. Good job.
So, the light glint at the bottom is very distracting. I'm not quite sure if that's what Elinor is referring to. Also; maybe you could play around with the cherry a bit on photoshop. Right now, I find it's brightness a little too much. Maybe, play around with shadows and highlights.
Anyway, good work. Keep it up. Cheers, ~Lava

Hey! Art and photography is fine by me, great actually. My sister's an artist and I've dabbled myself so I'm rather fond of the media.
This is good. You've got a nice contrast between the red of the cherry and the blue of the slushy. It's a shame that's it's quite so zoomed in actually. I'd have liked the top of the cherry stalk to not be cut off.
I like the bubbled effect of the slushy, it looks almost like water. A cherry resting in water. Brings some cool images to mind. Maybe crop the photo a little though. There's a lot of space to the right which draws the eye, particularly that sort of yellow spot in the slushy.
Also, it would be better to position the fruit to the right. It's leaning to the left so to ballance that out you should have it slightly right of centre. The same works for any subject, it looks more stylistic and keeps the eye focused on what's important.
Good work though! It would make a nice avatar or maybe you'll find another use for it
The thing I love about low-quality cameras is how honest the low-quality photograph is. You've handled this nicely! That red is so gorgeous and the blue of the ice is pretty. It looks so cool and refreshing I can't believe how badly I want one of those right now!

Honestly this is very cool. The blue frost is looking so natural and refreshing and the vivid colour of the cherry is too amazing. This is very nice. By the way, where's Tampa Bay?

This is a really sweet picture! I agree that the background of the cup is slightly bothersome. It just seems to blend in with the actual slush in the slush puppy. If the cup had been clear it would have looked really neat. Then again there was nothing you could really do about that! Awesome picture, though, I also think it's neat that you took the time and actually thought of taking a picture of the cherry. I probably would've just eaten it.
