Hmm, the white dots in the eyes are somewhat distracting, as are the embossed edges. I suggest you work more on the shading, since the current shading makes it look really flat. Try working with an actual model, or look at how light gradiates around an object and apply that to the art. See how each edge is the same? It makes her look like something carved out of flat stone...and painted gaudily.
But I'm sure you can fix that.
Good work!

Hey Carly!

Wow, that's good work. Let's get right down to nit picking.

1.Eyebrows: First, they should be a little higher than what you've shown. And purple doesn't really go well here.
2.Nose: You could add a little 3D shading.
3.Top: The top has a few visible faults. It's basically with the way you've 3D-ed or beveled it. It makes it seem unnatural. Also; it would help if you made the strap seem to go behind the shoulder.
The left bottom of the shirt widens awkwardly. If you are planning on adding curves, try practicing it.

Good work. Keep it up.

Hey iCarlyfan! :)

Blooming hell! I wish I could work my computer like that!

As you can probably tell, I really liked your picture. I probably liked it even more than a lot of people because I love myself some Manga. I'm no expert when it comes to art, so don't take my critique to seriously!

My favourite part of your picture were the eyes. They're the main focus on a person's face when it comes to Manga. In my opinion, you've definitely succeeded in this! Can I just ask about Lava's comment on the eyebrows? I thought that the "eyebrows" was actually eyeshadow... Is it me or lava that has gotten the right idea?

Overall, I was definitely impressed by your graphic art! I agree with what other reviewers have said though, you do need to improve on the shading a bit. Except for that, there isn't really much to fault about your picture. Well done! :smt001

Keep writing (and drawing!)

Hiya!

Goodness, I don't know how you did it, but it looks 3D! haha

The hair.

It's a little plain, a little boring. It kind of looks like chocolate falling onto her head. I see no strands of hair, remember that even in manga drawings, they still have shading and strands.

The nose.

The nose is probably the only big thing I don't like about this. Your character is facing us. Her eyes are straight, her body is straight, so why are her breasts and her nose pointed to (my) left? They should be straight, also, or else you need to make every other part of her body facing the left.

The Shirt.

The sleeves are different sizes. Just because this is an anime drawing, doesn't mean it shouldn't be realistic. At least make the shirt fit her. Her left breast is kind of falling out.

Overall: You have some white shading in places. Is she made of metal? If not, then the shading should be lighter shades of the color you are working on. Nothing really has white shading unless the object is white, or if it is metal, glass or plastic and a white light is hitting it.

In the bright side, the shading is good, just needs different colors.

This is pretty adorable. Her face is shaped perfectly, I just don't know why her chin is black...

Keep drawing/using Photoshop (or whatever you used!)
