Names are difficult!

I think that I'm a pretty good writer over-all, but I can never think of names or titles!
Right now in my novel, I am using the fill in names of Lulu and Bob.
I used to be so creative with naming my characters, but nothing seems to come to mind anymore.
The same thing with titles, I can never think of what to call my stories!

Does anybody know how I can get over this name/titler's block?

Most of the time, titles are officially created after writing out the story. Writers may have made a title at first, but it changes a few times before they find the right one anyway. If you can't think of a title now, then wait 'til after you write the story. It's easier to come up with a title once you have a better understanding of your story!

As for character names, you can always use name dictionaries. I go to babynamesworld.com if I'm stuck. At that site anyway, you can search for names with a certain meaning, origin, letter, gender, and... yeah. Get to know your character (their personality and how they act), then search for names with a certain meaning that would describe your character. It'll take time, but it's worth it if you find a good name!

I must admit, when it comes to titles I fail horribly. Though when it comes to names and I'm stuck, I just name my character after what I want to name one of my kids. I get more attached to them that way.

I've always had a hard time with names as well. Usually I'll spend several days working on character names - maybe even weeks. It's hard for me to do anything without knowing I've found the perfect name. Usually I'll use baby name sites to help me; I like knowing the meaning behind the word. Titles for stories are usually hard as well. I try to find something simple that brings out the entire story. If not, you can always try to read behind the lines and find something that may be a little deeper. It depends on the feel of the story and the author's viewpoint. One little word could have you jumping on your feet saying, "That's the one!"

I completely agree with you when it comes to titles!
I am absolutely terrible at deciding what to call my story. I can never decide on a title that I love. I always change my mind!

When it comes to character names though, like someone else said, I name them by using the names of what I'd call my kids. It does help you feel attached.
But if I'm planning on killing a character, I name them by using a name I hate! I just find it so much easier to kill them that way...

Yeah... I'm a freak.

I love coming up with titles. Sometimes the title comes first and the story is inspired by it, as in "Wow, that would make such a good story title. Now I just have to write a story."

With character names, I most often have the name first. But there have been exceptions.
