Beautiful pictures! I had planned to come to Louisville this summer, but those plans got flushed. :( Thank you, though, for the beautiful images! You are a talented photographer! As for Gulf Shores, you should come back more often. There's more than just the beach to capture! You should see some of the forests and estuaries down here - the really secluded ones!

Cute dog, by the way! It just upsets me a little...it looks like the one I hit a few months ago... Thankfully, it's okay; it lived. :)

Great job!

Wow, those are beautiful. The only thing I would say is the church one, the car kinda threw it off and I would wait until both were gone before taking the pic. But one looked parked so you might of not had time to wait. You also put a few pics in black and white, but some pictures are better in color.
The one with the bridges and river, is that the Ohio River on the Indiana side looking on Downtown Louisville? I live in Louisville and visited downtown and been on the Indiana side looking at it. The bridges look familiar to, so I was thinking that had to be Louisville. That pic would look really pretty at night, you should try it sometime because of all the different colored lights. :] Really nice pics, keep it up!

AyumiGosu17: I love Gulf Shores! I can't wait to go back this winter!

Quetseli: The church is actually my local courthouse. :D
Yes, the Louisville panorama is on the Indiana side, at Kingfish restaurant. ^_^

Hey LPR!

Just a quick review from me. :)

1, 2 & 3 : You have a great eye for scenery. Good job. I think colour for the second one would make it look better.
4: My favourite black and white one. It's because, the b&w actually complements the scene. It doesn't seem so for the others.
5: Very interesting. I would suggest using a filter and edit it to give it a hint of colour.
6:Really good. It would look better if you had chosen a different angle, by maybe zooming and stuff.
8: The composition if off. The colour doesn't strike me, and the dog's left is a little over exposed. I would suggest editing it's hue/saturation. Play with it, till you think it looks better.

Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
~Lava

Wow, I love these!

Judging by your photos, you live in a really beautiful area! I so want to go there! All it does where I live is rain... and the most interesting scenery is the trash can outside the supermarket....

Anyway, you clearly have a talent for photography! You can clearly pick up on what takes a good photo. Bravo for that.

I especially liked the church one, it looked so pretty!

As you can tell, I'm not a very good photography critic. I had to voice my opinion though when I saw your photo's. That's how much I liked them!

Swinging by to drop a few tips but these are really lovely :)

Tip 1: Don't go crazy with the black and white. For a black and white picture to be really outstanding, there needs to be a lot of contrast in the shades of black, grey and white.
If you're really attached to taking a picture in black and white, play around with the contrast when you're on your computer. Just to define everything more.

Tip 2: Sometimes, taking stuff from far away isn't as standing then closer. For example, for the big contraption, you could have easily gotten closer. First thing it would of done is reduce the blur. Secondly, make an interesting machine a whole lot more interesting.

Tip 3: When taking scenery, avoid the fence. (Should be like a quote or something):D

Tip 4: A little digital editing goes a long long way. Playing around with the contrast, saturation and exposure on the picture of your dog would make a whallop of a difference.
The fur a little darker, the grass a little greener, and a bit more of a sheen would of made it perfect :)

Absolutely lovely. I hope to see a lot more.

I absolutely love your photos. They're very eye-catching, to me. I really like the first photo that was started off with, the black and white is amazing. Well, I just love black and white, but the picture is amazing. Keep up the good work.

*Sniff* Makes me homesick. ;) I'm from rural Georgia, but am currently living in the big city. See?

Anyway, I love the black and white-ness of the first few pictures - you have some talent, my friend. But the grass in the front of the picture with the barn looks rather blurry. But, really, it doesn't detract from the overall effect much.

Good job! Wonderful pictures.

Hello there!

Amazing. I love black and white pictures! It's like a 1800's style.hehe :D
I was like " :o " when I looked at the 3rd photo... cutting trees which lead to global warming!
Anyways, I like all the pictures. from the first until the last photo.

Keep this up and maybe you'll soon be a great photographer.

Peace out!

Salutations, my minion! I am hereth to revieweth! Let's getuth started!

First: I agree with Kamas; this isn't so great in black and white. I would love it lots more if it was in full color. :D

Second: Best one by FAR! I love it. Were you by any chance in my neighborhood when you took this? That's what it looks like, only less picturesque. ;)

Third: Damn loggers.

Fourth: Meh, it's nice, but I don't like how much we can see of the street. Kinda takes away from the rest.

Fifth: What is that under the bushes? It's very distracting.

Sixth: Another one that would be better in color. It's a great angle and there isn't much clutter, so there's no need for black and white.

Seventh: Brown water? Yuck. I wish there was more bridge in this shot.

Eighth: Blue water? Nice! Only now I wish there was less bridge.

Ninth: Awesome! I want your dog.

Overall, great job! I loved them. Just keep in mind the whole black and white thingy, and you should be fine. :D
