Dawn of the Hero

I walked down the marble corridor to wooden doors. The wooden doors handles had a spectacle of engravings on them and were shaped in the head of lions. I would of usually stopped to admire them but not today. The escorts behind me seemed to have the same frame of mind and rushed me inside. After I stepped inside the doors were swiftly closed. The room was actually a large dome made out of marble with gold engravings decorating the walls. Their were no desks in the room and their were many people standing around, like me, nervously. Some were wearing bright costumes while other were wearing normal clothes, if a bit customised. I was one of the latter my red hood coming over the top of my pea coat and my black jeans matching my shoes, just like school I suddenly felt self conscious. Then I noticed something about all the people here were almost all teenagers. Very few people older than 17. The door on the other side of the room suddenly opened and a tall man with graying hair walked out, he was old but their was something about him that made him intimidating.

"welcome to the new center of heroism" The old man said. I joined in with the awws and ahhs, I couldn't help but think about how much I would miss the good old days were us heroes could do what we wanted and not be controlled by the government.

Plot
The story book will start off a week before this event, while superpowers have been emerging for the past two months this is when your character's will discover their powers. While your characters can start were ever you want they will eventually migrate towards new york, for the meeting and because cities have the most crime.

Real name: Iona Morgan

Age: 16

Gender: Female

appearance: Short and stumpy, she has ghostly white skin and short bed hair that sticks out of place no matter who tries to tame it. She wears large glasses that cover the majority of her face giving her the general air of unkemptness, despite this, she has a really pretty face whenever she makes an effort.

personality: Keep herself to herself, and doesn't like to talk or be talked to, she doesn't remember anything she deems unimportant (like a persons name), and chooses to be indifferent with almost everything. You would be hard presses to get any reaction out of her. She is like a dead person inside because that's the way she prefers to live.

flaws: Because of her general attitude towards people, she isn't really popular and people often misunderstand thinking that she is proud and dislikes them.

Power: (Steals one of her old characters powers) Pain, she can make people feel pain, both mental or physical (with physical, damage is actually done to the other party...) If she looses control she can accidentally kill, which has happened before and explains why she won't allow any motions to get through.

other: She carries around a backpack, though nobody but her knows what is in it...

personality: She has a sort of messed-up kind personality. She makes atempts to be nice on ocasion, but when that fails, she'll get upset. She shows gratitude in odd ways, but she has a good intention for everything she does. TO people she just meets, she comes off as weird and strange, but when you get to know her she is very sweet.

flaws: She is untrusting, comes off as weird, and has a very odd past.

Power: She's a shape shifter.

up for love: Definetly, if you can get past her oddness.

other: She loves to sing, to herself mostly, but she has a great voice.

Real name: James Winchester

Age: 17

Gender: Male

appearance: Tall and quite muscular. He keeps himself fairly fit, since its a mindless activity that he can get lost in. He has brown hair that he keeps short and mildly messy, but naturally. His eyes are blue (they will turn completely black when he uses his powers) and he has mildly tanned skin.

personality: He doesn't like to think. He is very bright, a 140IQ, but the more he thinks the more he realizes that 'his powers' must exist and thats that. He doesn't like that, so he drowns himself in mindless activities. He can be very devoted to an ideal, especially moral ones and he strongly believes in chivalry. He doesn't want to be a superhero. One part of his mind says superpowers are not real and that he's a freak, but his other side says its a good thing, that maybe he could actually make a difference

flaws: His powers slowly drive him mad. The more he uses them the more his personality divides. When he uses his powers the 'darker' human emotions move to the front of his mind. He can control them, but sometimes his emotions act on their own and take over his body. This has left him (or will leave him) with a slight case of schizophrenia.

Power: Shadow Manipulation (allows him to summon shadow in its lack of light form, as well as a solid form, like the Green Lantern. He can turn his body into a mass of shadow and can jump from shadow to shadow. All of this requires intense concentration and energy)

up for love: Sure

other: His powers have manifested on and off all his life, but he's never believed it. Took a lot of drugs to "keep himself sane" and is now trying to quit.

Real Name: Harley Jane Harrison

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Short layered blonde hair with a pink streak, blue-green eyes, freckles, a very sweet looking person.

Personality: Kind, not sad, but not happy.

Flaws: She is sometimes too emotional, and can get angry.

Power: She can shoot fire from her hands, and can become a bird that is engulfed completely in fire. (Later nickname can be Firebird.)

Up for love: Not quite yet, but possibly later.

Other: Her father died in a car accident, and she and her father were very close. Her mother went sort of crazy, so she left to live with her aunt. She has a tattoo of her father's nickname, "Chevy" on the back of her shoulder.

Appearance: medium height with deep brown hair that's kind of long but not too long. He not muscular but he's not fat. Light blue eye that seen to get lighter and darker with the seasons. [ocean blue in winter, sky blue with dark patches in summer.

Personality: He's a normal guy just trying to get through high school with some stories to tell. He has a habit of mocking himself while with friends. He's not sure why but it seems to get laughs.

Flaws: Even though he mocks himself he's a bit self conscious. He sometime feels depressed and is sometimes cynical.

Power: Telekenisis
