Viper

A familiar face looked up at them from under a shock of dark hair, yellow slitted eyes blinking.

Someone's head popped out the van window. "What d'you think you're- Viper? Is that you?"

He suddenly looked relieved. "I've been looking for you guys for so long!"

Viper! Viper was standing in the middle of the road and he-

'What am I doing?!' I thought, metally slapping myself.

I jumped out of the van and ran over to him, hugging him tight. "Come get in the van," I said, leading him over to the open door. It was even tighter with him, Daemyn, Lizzie, Nick, Keshra, her brother, Lurie, me and Amber all stuffed in there, but it felt good too. Like the family was getting back together. I smiled and sighed. Tonight was date night. Tomorrow we could come up with a real plan and find out what these newbs were capable of.

When we got out of the van, I walked straight over to Viper, hugging him. "Nice to see you again," I said, quickly pulling away. Viper was part of my family, but I wouldn't be letting anyone cach me hugging anyone but Lurie.

"Thanks," He said, smiling. Fee ran up and dragged him away, practically interrogating him about where he had been. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Lurie.

"Ready for date night?" I asked with a sly smile. She nodded and we both took off towards the front door, trying to shove one another out of the way. We immediatly began running around, looking for our favorite game.

"I found it!" I heard Alura yelp from the other side of the building. I cursed, running towards her.

"I call dibs on Barbie!" I yelled, trying to make my legs go faster. I finally got there, slamming into her and knocking her over. "Ugh, sorry," I said, picking myself up. "Couldn't stop." I helped her up. We both looked at eachother and simultaneously dove for the water gun that controlled Barbie. I heard laughing, but ignored it, still trying to pry my darling fingers off the trigger.

"I said I called dibs!" I whined, letting go.

Nick,

What are the odds? We magically find everyone from the circus after three years apart. I shrug. Meh. At least we're together again. I go to stand by Viper.

"How's it been?" I say, patting him on the shoulder.

"Okay, I guess," he says, indifferently, "I've keeping low, mostly."

I nod sympathetically, "Zack and I have been living on the streets for the past year or so. But we get by."

I drift away, joining Fee and Keshra in watching Lurie and Daemyn play Barbie.

I watched them for awhile, not sure if I should say anything or not.

Suddenly I blinked. "Kendall!" The person standing next to me looked at me. "Bless you."

I frowned at him. "No, Kendall! My brother, I left him at the lot!"

I ran over to one of the barbie players, I think his name was Daemyn or something. "We have to go get my brother!" I yelled yanking him up by the arm.

I was totally beating Lurie on with her stupid Ken and his stupid surf board. Barbie is way lighter and goes way faster on her jet ski. Seriously, she is amazing. Anyway, all of a sudden this chick comes up and starts hanging on my arm and yelling at me and crap.

"Dammit! Get the hell off!" I snarl, turning back to the game.

"We left my brother at the lot! We have to go back and get him."

Without turning back to her I say viciously, "What, poor little baby can't stand an hour alone? Everyone in Lot 7 are either old people in RVs or screwed up dudes like us."

"Please? Can't we just go back? Just real quick?"

"Listen, chick," I say, turning to her. "I don't care how old your brother is. I don't care if he's a freaking six year old, ok? He can survive for an hour by himself, holed up in his little tent or whatever. This is my and my girlfriends night together, not me, my girlfriend's, and every other Misfit's night together. Although, I admit, it's not making me sick with the rest of you being here. YOU, however," I say, pointing a finger at her nose. "Are getting on my nerves and you better knock it the heck off."

I turn back to the game, flustered, only to see Lurie has already won and is staring at me, a wad of tickets in her small hand. I curse some more and start beating up the machine, trying to refrain from punching any actual person around me, considering they're all Misfits or kids.

"Hey!" The chick from before says, trying to stop my flailing fists. I turn to her, snarling, and pop her one, just one, straight at the mouth. She staggers back and I turn back to the machine. A guy comes up to me and I punch him. He calls for "backup" and Soon I find myself tackled to the ground by a whole punch of zitty employees.

Great.

I felt my jaw, feeling the stinging pain of the guy's punch. He had some issues, and he'd done a bad thing, he'd made me mad.

The employees through him out and I followed, glaring at him. "Whats your problem?" I growled at him in the empty parking lot. "I wanted to go get my twin brother and you start beating up a machine?!"

He didn't say anything, and I just stared at him, annoyed. "Please, I need my brother."

Amber:

I stared at the empty space before me and took off my sunglasses. What the heck? The girl had just disappeared, right in front of my eyes.

I shook my head, rubbed my eyes and looked again, sure I was seeing things. Nope, the girl was gone. Yeah, I was seeing things.

I looked around and noticed that the van was gone. Damn it! I'd lost it again.

I sighed and picked up my bag. I slid my sunglasses back on just as someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see a boy standing there.

"Um, you haven't seen my sister by any chance, have you?" he asked.

I stared at the girl, eyebrows raised, hoping she had, because I was about to flip.

She frowned. "Uhh no, whos your sister?"

I sighed, "Keshra? Blond hair? Blue eyes?"

The girl looked at the quizzically, a normal reaction considering we look nothing alike even though we're twins. And I mean NOTHING.

The girl sighed. "No, but I'm lost now too."

I groaned. "Well thats just dandy."

I was really hoping that Deamyn wouldn't be mean or beat up anybody tonight but I guess I was wrong. I sat there watching as a bunch of zitty teenage employees tried to bring Daemyn down. The same thing happened when we were at a casino, Daemyn convinced some dude that he was 21 and could drink alcohol. The result was Daemyn drunk beating up some employees and getting arrested, which I had to use my powers to get him out of.
"Daemyn can we go through one night with out you hurting someone?" I yelled.
There was no use he was going to do it regardless.

"Please, I need my brother." She said. I rolled my eyes, wiped my bloody knuckles on my pants, ans started walking towards the van. I looked back at her halfway to it.

"Are you coming? God, you make such a big freaking deal about your stupid brother and then you laze around like a fat freaking turd or something. So hurry up!"

She looks at me for another minute then runs up to me, hopping into the passenger side. This stops me for a minute, considering no one but Lurie sits there, but I let it slide. She's a girl, at least. I start the van and peel out, noticing the other Misfits watching me from their spot in the front entrance. I'm going to get crap for this from, er, everyone. I sigh and drive faster.

Amber:

I sighed and sat down right where I was. The boy sat down next to me. I took my sunglasses and rubbed my eyes. Now I was tired.

I started to fiddle with my sunglasses. The sun was gone and suddenly I realised that we'd been sitting there for hours.

"Hey," I said and turned towards the boy beside me. "What's your name? I'm Amber."

I sighed as we drove toward the lot. I'd convinced him, but he still didn't seem to like me.

"So, you're name is Daemyn right?"

He nodded. I nodded. "I'm Keshra," I said shyly.

I sat down next to the girl and held out a hand. "Kendall."

She nodded and shook it. I sighed. "So, you're a Misfit too?"

I stared at Kendall for a moment. "A what?"

"A Misfit," he repeated. "I asked you if you're a Misfit too."

"Misfit?" I asked and frowned. "No, I'm not a...Misfit. I've been on the run from these two crazy government guys posing as cops."

He laughed. "Government guys?" he asked and I nodded.

"Yeah," I muttered. "They've been trailing me since I left L.A."

Kendall sighed and shook his head. "So, you're not a Misfit."

I nodded and he let out a frustrated breath.

"So, what do you do?"

I stared at him. What? I wasn't going to do that, I wasn't gonig to show him or tell him. Last time I had used my powers, I'd lost control, caused an earthquake and burnt down pretty much half a city.

"Err," I said, stalling. "You don't want me to show you. Think epic disaster."

I nodded. "Ok I'm imagining me and my sister in a fist fight."

She frowned. "What?"

I shrugged. "It would be an epic disaster! My sister doesn't stand a chance."

She chuckled. "Nice. So, what do you do?"

I sighed and leaned back. "I control shadows."
