Arkady

The wall of wind that collected him and the thief and hurled them into the wall was completely unexpected. The thief's comrade, with a mere wave of his hand, had simply tossed him across the room as though he weighed nothing.

Arkady yelled in pain as he crashed against the coarse stone wall, already focusing on blocking out the pain as he pushed himself to his feet. His fist trembled with pain and rage as he raised it. He glared through the gloom as the newcomer sent the unconscious boy out the window, before striding to it himself.

In the stairwell, shouts and stamping announced the approach of Arkady's brethren, accompanied by a low rushing that grew louder with every second.

The thief made to step out of the window, but Arkady acted before he could, opening his hand and then wrenching it back. A solid wall of water, drawn straight from the temple well , slammed into him through the window, sending him tumbling backwards. At another few gestures from the water elemental, it drew back, regathered itself, and hit the thief again, pinning him to the ground.

The first of the priests to arrive barely even glanced at the dedicate, marching forward to bend over the other boy. "Unconscious. Well done, child."

Arkady inclined his head slightly in thanks, his smile returning. "He's like me, teacher. But with wind."

The priest stiffened and looked closer at the boy, pulling away his cloak and tunic to better see the green glyphs that tracked his skin. "So he is." Hierophant Phorcys beckoned two of the junior priests over. "Take this boy to an empty cell in the cloisters, and see to it that he is locked in." He then turned a beatific smile on his student. "And you, Arkady, will guard him. No doubt you two will wish to talk once he comes to."

The young man bowed to the hierophant, and as he did so the water lifted and slowly floated out the window, separating and returning to the wells he had taken it from. Now having the time to, he siphoned water from the humid air, holding it as several globes that hung in the air around him. The spheres followed him as he in turn followed the priests to the cells, carefully watching as they laid the unconscious thief on a pallet.

Arkady sat at the desk, just on the other side of the tiny room, and listened for the click of the lock. There wasn't much chance that the thief would be escaping, though he wasn't likely to be punished as his friend would have been. A dead elemental wasn't any use to anyone, and Phorcys, though he adhered closely to the law, was an ardent supporter of the Order behind closed doors. He wouldn't let an opportunity like this slip through his fingers.

Unless, of course, the boy worked for the Cabal. Arkady frowned, figuring it was time he started questioning their prisoner on those little details. One of the spheres of water drifted over to the pallet, dropping to splash over the younger boy's face. Almost immediately, it reformed and drifted back to its maker, ready to try again if he didn't wake up straight away.

I stormed angrily through the camp the soldiers had just set up.

I walk into a tent where the Finders were.

"Two weeks, it has een two WEEKS and you haven't found anything or anyone. Tell me, are you blind." I pinched the bridge between my eyes.

"W-w-er-e s-s-o-rr-y P-prin-cess." One stuttered.

"Stop stuttering and get back to work. I could find them faster than you."

"Why dont you?" One was brave enough to ask.

"Because, my dad isn't here and I have an entire army to lead." I sighed and walked slowly out of the tent to go take a ride on my horse. Then, off in the distance I saw a blast of water shoot across the sky. I hopped on and road off until I got to where I saw the water. I go up to a woman standing there.

"What made the water?" I ask her. She bows to me.

"I do not know, My Lady."

"Was it similar to human, or something else?"

"I didn't see it for myself. But he did," she said, pointing to a man, "and he spoke to it too." I walked up to him, my cape swishing behind me in the light wind.

"Who are you?" I ask.

*Zal has a near perfect memory, he doesn't forget anything. When the elements lose their tempers their bodies seem to become more elemental.*

Ahzal-

Zal groaned softly, memory flickering to a pain half remembered. "Rejection, fear, pain, newborn lungs filling with a wet wrong thing. Water, that was it he was breathing water. Snarling his arm shot out and he grabbed the other boys wrist.

His eyes snapped open, gleaming like shards of green fire. His shirt was gone and his glyphs flushed an eyesmarting acid, rather then cool emerald.

"What do you want priest?" His voice had changed, sounding more like the howling of storm winds then the voice of human, the priest boy seemed to shrug it off like nothing though.

He gave Zal a lopsided smile as he spoke. "Quite a few things, but we'll start with whether you're an element that serves the Order or the Cabal?"

Sitting up, Zal leaned against the wall, he brushed strands of grass colored hair out of his face. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I've never heard of this 'Order' as for the Cabal, well my contempt speaks for itself."

*Like I said earlier, those elements like Zal who were seperated from their guardians, are clueless about the big picture. They know they have powers but they don't know why.*

Scarlet~

"What made the water?" the princess demanded.

"I do not know, My Lady." I answered though my signature grin while bowing.

"Was it similar to human, or something else?"

"I didn't see it for myself. But he did," I said, pointing to a man, "and he spoke to it too." I said still smiling as she walked off.

This was getting interesting whoever made that wave is like me, but why would he do it out in the open? Stay hidden then blow your cover that doesn't make sense. Also someone should really take the stick out of the princess butt. Honestly she may be royalty but her horse is way up there. I thought while shaking my head.

Sneaking off into the alley making my way closer to the temple where I saw the wave, whoever did this is like me. It would be nice to know that I'm not alone

Arkady

This boy was certainly curious. There was no question that he was an element, but how could he not know about the Order? Of course, they were no longer active, so he might have never even encountered them or their servants. Still, eighteen years without even being discovered. That was a feat.

"The Order opposes the Cabal, to put it bluntly." Arkady said, remembering everything Phorcys had ever taught him. "That's why they made us. And the Cabal would like nothing more than to enslave us and use us to control the city even more completely than they do now."

Arkady smiled and turned his hands up, as if to suggest that it didn't really matter. "But what's you're name? There's not much point in speaking of these things if we haven't introduced ourselves." Apparently, he was already prepared to put their fight behind him, to pretend it hadn't happened at all. He held out a hand, "I'm Arkady."

I get back on my horse and walk over to a preist-like man. He was the one the woman had pointed to. He sees me and begins to shake.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"M-m-m-m.." is all he stutters out.

"Who are you?" I ask. I keep from yelling ,but my voice swims with hate.

"A servant of god, please don't kill me." He says, falling on the ground before my horse. I get off it and help him up.

"I am not here to kill you." I say, "But I do need information."

"On what, My princess?"

"I saw water, coming from nowhere, and after talking to someone, they said a human made the water. Tell me everything you know about this. That is an order."

"I am a-a-fr-ai-d I ca-n-t..." He started. I unsheath my knife.

"You will tell me, or I kill you." I said, not bothering to hide the anger that is pulsing through every fiber of my being. I hold the knife to his throat.

"Come into the church." He said. Holding the knife to his back, I went in.

"What?" I groweled. Then I heard voices coming from the second level of the church. That was what I was after.

James/ Lightning

I had followed the princess from her camp it was easy to blend into the slums that followed the army around in tents looting their enemies and eating the scraps left behind from the army. After all I needed a bargaining chip for my freedom. The way she treated the priest meant that the small shed of guilt I was about to earn from kidnapping her would quickly dissipate.

In my thoughts I didn't notice her going towards the door and entering the church. A preacher came out after her and a crowd quickly gathered. No way through their now I thought and turned around to climb back up the ladder to the roof of a nearby building. Once up I ran and leaped across the 10 meter gap from the roof of the building to one of the side roofs of the church. Their was a slight whizzing sound as I used my powers to cover the leap. I used them again to soften my landing so their was less of a sound when I landed.

I walked up to one of the nearest windows their were many of them along the side roof of the church. This one appeared to be open. Quietly I climbed thought the window onto a beam, I could see the princess and the priest. They were sitting by the alter talking about something, the princess looked shocked and pleased with herself all at the same time. I smiled she wouldn't see this coming. My hand flew up and I pointed my finger at her this would take a lot of concentration, I still found it hard to control the strength of my shocks. After a few second a burst of static burst towards her, It knocked her into the alter and by into I mean through, maybe that was still a bit too strong.

Kessa - Earth

Kessa grimaced. The cords tying the bundles of parchment together were digging painfully into her fingers. She was glad to be near the temple.

Kessa's thoughts wandered. She wondered if she would be allowed to watch the scribes work again today. Some of them welcomed Kessa's attention, and some even went so far as to allow her to practice alongside them. Others were not so welcoming. Kessa wondered who would be at the library that day.

Kessa stopped as she spotted the temple up ahead. There seemed to be a large crowed gathering in front of it. Kessa hesitated for a moment, then began threading her way through the crowd. She had a delivery to make, after all.

Kessa had just entered the temple corridors when a middle-aged, balding priest walked up to her. Kessa recognized him; he was one of the temple scribes. Kessa bowed quickly.

"Master Bruno, I - "

He smiled distractedly. "Let me take those from you, Kessa," he said, relieving Kessa of the parchment bundles. "You'd best be off for today, I'm afraid. We had a break-in, and the temple is still rather frazzled. Today just isn't the day for you to stay here for long."

"A break-in?" asked Kessa.

"Yes," replied Master Bruno, walking away. "We caught the thief in question. I believe he is still down in the cloisters, as a matter of fact."

Kessa watched the retreating back of the scribe. A thief? Temples usually were not the center for crime. Kessa wondered why the thief had broken in here. Kessa hesitated. She glanced around her, and tentatively began to make her way down to the bowels of the temple. Kessa wanted to see the thief for herself.

*Zal's not the thief he got caught saving the thief. Your character should also have at least some memories from before the element was trapped in human form. Also make sure your character has physical weaknesses to go with his power, eg: Zal can't swim and is claustrophobic*

Ahzal-

Zal closed his eyes, sighing. "Ahzal, Ahzal Reganda, Zal for short." Arkady started talking as streams of air twisted past Zal's eyes and ears. These old temples were filled with drafts. The wind brought Zal a thousand sights and sounds, the places and things it had passed over. A part of Zal's mind was constantly percieving and sorting the images, his own built in spy network.

A shout erupted as steel clashed above, a fight had broken out in the temple. Perplexed he glanced at Arkady. He plugged one ear as he spoke, trying to hear better. "Do you people would be sword fighting in a temple?"

**Erp. This thing is going fast. >.< Sorry this is short, but I have no clue of what's going on anymore.**

Teresa

Teresa had been heading back home, but soon she found herself heading in the direction of the temple. She didn't know why, she just started going that way.

Eh, why not? I have some time left before I need to be back.

She continued in that direction silently, pulling a hood over her pale face.
