Basically I was wanting answers for these questions. Try to think non-fictionally (No goblins in the garden of vampire boyfriends.) You can answer in this thread or if there's anything particularly personal you can pm me. Big answers are very welcome, as well as multiple answers.

If you could have one wish for the future, what would it be?

What do you wish you could change about society?

What do you wish you could change about yourself, or the way people see you?

What do you want more than anything else in the world?

I'm just wondering what young people really want, what kind of expectations the world didn't quite meet.

I was inspired by Hiyao Miyazaki, and how he describes nostalgia, particularly this, so I thought I would post it for anyone else who may find it of interest. Here's an extract from Miyazaki's "Starting Point."

Spoiler
"Personally I was never more passionate about these things than when preparing for my collage entrance exams. It's a period of life when young people appear to have a great deal of freedom, but are in many ways actually very oppressed. Just when they find themselves powerfully attracted to the opposite sex, they have to really crack to the books.
"To escape from this depressing situation, they often find themselves wishing they could live in a world of their own- a world they can say is truely theirs, a world unknown even to their parents. To young people, fantasy is something they can incorperate into their own private world."

Note: I'll return critiques for answers, so do put some thought into them.

What do I want to do more than anything else?
Publish a book.

What would I change about society?
I'd make it so that people were more
accepting of minorities (black people, autistic people, etc.)

About myself?
Not much really.

If you could have one wish for the future, what would it be?
To become a movie director. :P

What do you wish you could change about society?
Reverse our corrupted youth culture before it fouls itself even further.

What do you wish you could change about yourself, or the way people see you?
Well, as for the people around me, I'd like them to be more respectful and listen to their teachers.

What do you want more than anything else in the world?
To find a lovely apartment somewhere. :D
"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

If you could have one wish for the future, what would it be?
I'd either like to be a producer in the movie business or a columnist for a national newspaper. Either way, I do have a little hope that I'll have the girl of my dreams somewhere in between. :)

What do you wish you could change about society?
I wish I could change the ideas of political correctness. I'd try and make people realise that a joke's a joke. Also I'd try and convince the parliament parties in Britain to work together instead of competing against one another. This would make the country better.

What do you wish you could change about yourself, or the way people see you?
Ah, I wouldn't really change anything. I'm happy with who I am. I might be tempted to change the way people see my humour to make me popular with vast numbers of people, but hey, we can't have everything can we? Unless we're talking nickles and dimes, obviously.

What do you want more than anything else in the world?
More than anything in the world I want to have a good life where I can look back and go, "Yeah, I did that" or look back and think, "I'll be remembered. I've made my mark." Because one thing I fear more than anything else in the world, is that I'm forgotten. :)

If you could have one wish for the future, what would it be?

That I would be able to touch peoples' lives around me and bring them to God.

What do you wish you could change about society?

The dangers. It isn't right that someone can't feel safe walking down an alleyway.

What do you wish you could change about yourself, or the way people see you?

I'd probably want to change the way I see myself; have a little more self-confidence.

What do you want more than anything else in the world?

To live for others.
There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people:
psychopaths and mystery writers.

I'm the kind that pays better.

If you could have one wish for the future, what would it be?

Hmm, naturally this would be a difficult question. But I suppose all I want in the future is just a very happy family. Which basically means my dad.

What do you wish you could change about society?

I'm not going to bother wasting my wishes and thoughts on society 'cause I doubt it will ever change no matter what.

What do you wish you could change about yourself, or the way people see you?

Ah. I wish I didn't doubt myself so much. And that's about it 'cause I love myself :D

What do you want more than anything else in the world?

I have what I want that's more important than anything else. If the previous sentence made sense to anyone, I'd be amazed.
Purple light in the canyon
that is where I long to be
With my three good companions
just my rifle, pony and me
