Know what really grinds my gears? People going above my head to complain about me without ever adressing me personally.
I know I may seem a little overbearing at times, and possibly a little hostile- but if you are nice enough to send me a polite private message about something I've done to anger you, I'll be nice enough to respond and apologize if need be. I promise I'll only be as hostile as you are.
I also understand that the mods are here to serve that purpose. However, when you complain to a mod, if it ever does get to me, it involves something along the lines of "hey, be nice!" and I have no clue what their referencing. I've got to do some research to find out what I did to piss who off, and frankly, I don't think its worth it! I'll be much more accepting, and much more willing to work with you if you have the guts to come to me personally, rather than just going strait to Nate or some other mod, who will in turn think about posting something in the moderator forum about me being rude. Which may, but probably not, result in me getting some kind of warning.

You being angry at me-------------complaining to a mod ----------------- maybe posts something in the admin forum--------------- lets it fester there for a bit-------------------- a slim chance get a message from nate about being nice---------------- me being confused, and wondering what i've done ----------------- me not doing anything because I don't know what the hell has happened.
OR
you being angry at me-------------------------I get a message from you, politely explaining why your angry.-------------- me adressing your concerns and knowing exactly how to modify my behavior in the future.
Which seems better?
For those of you out there who I may offend, and are courtious enough to send me a message- a warning. If you are hostile in your message, then I will be hostile as well. If you are polite, I will be polite as well. Expect the same return.
