Love From Music
Chapter 3
Slam! Kaylin woke with a start as a door slammed shut. When she opened her eyes, she saw that her wrists were still bound, but her ankles were free. She was lying on a bed, and Ian, Cam, and Mitch were standing around the bed looking at her.
“Hey, sweet thing,” Ian said smirking at her.
“Screw you, asshole,” Kaylin responded instantly.
“How many times do I have to tell you my name’s not asshole?” Ian asked placing a hand on her thigh. She kicked out at him but missed.
“Hey!” Mitch shouted grabbing her chin and forcing her to look at him. Before he could say anything else, she spit in his face. He let go and wiped the spit off his face. Then, without warning, he backhanded her…hard.
When she licked her lips, she tasted blood. She glared at Mitch. Kaylin vaguely registered the fact that Cam was laughing.
“Dude,” Cam said still laughing. “She really hates you.”
“You think I care?” Mitch asked indifferently. “By the way, when’s Shane getting home?”
“Who cares, man?” Ian asked. He smacked Kaylin’s butt and squeezed really hard causing her to wince. “Damn, she’s got a nice ass.”
Kaylin’s eyes started tearing up. Noticing this, Mitch grabbed her arm and yanked her to a sitting position. She whimpered in pain, and the tears started streaming down her face. He yanked her off the bed and dragged her over to the dresser where there was a large basin filled with water.
“Why ya crying?” Mitch asked sarcastically. “Your make up’s running all over the place. Here let me help you wash it off,” he said shoving her face into the water repeatedly so she couldn’t breathe. Cam and Ian were laughing.
Just as she was starting to feel lightheaded, Cam said, “Dude, Shane’s home.”
Mitch finally stopped dunking her head. Kaylin was seeing stars, and Mitch was supporting most of her weight. He shoved her face first into the nearest wall, and Kaylin crumpled to the ground, limp and unconscious

I kinda agree with the others. A little more description and it would make a whole difference- meaning better. :) This chapter is a also a little short but satisfying. It does keep me wondering on; whats gonna happen next? Who is Shane? Why did they kidnap her?
Keep it going because i want to read more. :smt023

Slam! Kaylin woke with a start as a door slammed shut.

We already know the door slammed shut, try using a different word.

Then, without warning, he backhanded her…hard.

If he hit her so hard, did it leave a mark on her face? Or is that detail yet to come?

All in all, it is intriguing to read this. It almost like reading a dream actually. The lack of detail is amusing yet agitating. The mood is dark and twisted. I like where this is going.
