Maybe I should’ve known.
Maybe I should’ve guessed.
Maybe I should’ve thought.
That you weren’t the best.

Maybe I should just think,
And get over it... or atleast try.
But every time I think...
All I think, is why?

I cant just stop it.
I've tried it before.
Believe it or not, you fixed it.
Because all I could do was adore,
The way you smiled
But it will be a while,
Till I see that smile again.

Your with her, and shes great and all.
I just don’t want to see you hurt... or get broken..
And fall.
I don’t want to cry, but sometimes its hard.
Just hold it all back, and try not to bawl.
Don’t worry. I'm fine. Shes nice and sweet.
Just now I know. That well never be.

Hey FazoliMoli,
I really liked this poem, it was heart felt but not so dramatic. The only thing I can comment is how you only rhyme on occasions, or well the other way around. I think you need to pick either to rhyme or to let it be a free style, but it's still good the way it is. I enjoyed and look forward to reading more.
Keep writing,

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices; to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill, and suspicions can destroy. A thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own.
