A fantasy novel! I used to love writing fantasy, but I do less of that these days. My favourite fantasy author is probably Tolkien (I don't read enough fantasy, heh) - yourself? Do you write any poetry? Or read it, even?
So, a few basic things - you'll notice the coloured names around the site. Blues are greeters (amazingly, they greet people), purps are instructors (who generally do awesome reviews), dark greens are moderators and the light greens (like me) are the junior moderators. So yeah. But nonetheless, if you've any problems or questions at all you can PM absolutely anyone, I'm sure. But it's best to check that they've logged in the past three years first - that usually helps. =D
YWS is fairly friendly with rules. Just, you know, no murdering or swearing or chatspeak and stuff. But I'm sure you already knew that. Oh! And reviews. If you post anything for reviewing, you don't need to do any reviews but it's best to do a couple first anyway, so that people will want to look at your stuff, too.
Please feel free to PM me as soon as you post some of your novel! I'd be really interested to read it. You'll get some great advice here, so don't worry.

Well, I posted my story in the fantasy section. I really only like to write fantasy. I write in third person though I wish I could write in first. Don't really like rap. Listen to mostly Christian music. I live in Texas. Don't know how I feel on skinny jeans. I'm not a real big fan of cucumbers. I think Jackie Chan is cool. And I absolutely suck at writing poetry. Sometimes I read it but I don't really know how to write it, though I wish I could. I have a lot of favorite books. Eragon, Shannara, Percy Jackson, The Demon King, Harry Potter,etc. I am currently reading The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan.

I don't listen to music when I write my book, but for homework, heck ya. And I'll use either a pen or a keyboard depending on what I want to do while I write.
