i decided i'd have another go at Manga drawing, i found a really good picture and several others, but I'm showing you one. i thought i'd have a go at it myself... one girls chest is a bit exposed but. Hope you like! Tell me what you think of it as well. Camera quality isn't that good.

These are beauties! The shading, especially on their shirts is really well done. You've captured the folds, wrinkles and dimension of the fabric really nicely.
The shine of their hair is great as well. It looks very three-dimensional.
Especially if you're getting into art, I encourage you to invest in a scanner. A cheap one is fine, there's not a whole lot of difference between the models. With a scanner, you can post your artwork in larger dimensions, properly aligned. You'll receive more detailed critiques because people will be able to see.
The one thing I have to say about manga style is, don't let it replace your own. Manga is great, and beautiful in its own way, but there's something even more marvelous about the individual style an artist develops over time. So use it, and learn from it, but be sure to go your own direction as well.

Ooh, I really like this. Very good shading quality and detail.
Now, I said shading quality. It seems as though the highlights are a bit all over the place. For instance, you've got lighting (it seems) in front and a bit above them. But there are heavy highlights on the backs of the girls' heads. Imagine sticking a lightbulb where the light source is coming from, and highlight what it would shine on. You probably know that judging from the rest, but just a reminder.
Also...the girl with the short hair. Her neck is very thin, her left arm too skinny, and her ear is tiny! That's okay, though; those are easy to fix.
Overall, I think it's pretty impressive!

Her neck is thin and all the other things because it's the style it's in. It's not realistic lol. But thanks all the same for the comments and I actually know her arm is skinny but I left it.

Hey! You did really great with this picture, and I just love manga/anime style drawings! The shading looks pretty darn great, but the girl with the short hair... Her bangs look a little off, like maybe you didn't blend the shades good enough, and there's a harsh line there. I love the shirts! I always avoid shading as much as possible, but you're great at it. And is that a hand on the short haired girls shoulder? It looks too thin and needs to take up more space on her shoulder. Amazing picture! Try to flip it next time. =P
Yeah I know the hand is pretty dodgy... I was trying to copy, I'll make it work.

Wow, your feature work is brilliant! I think this is because of the good proportions here. I think they're just right excluding maybe shoulder width and the neck size (as you mentioned) but that's just me being mega picky! XD I think you've done well on the hair and I must compliment the use of strong lines and good, brave shading.
Wow, this is really great, I cannot draw manga very well. The only critisism I have is that I have to crane my neck to look at it, If there is a way of turning it the right way around it would be even better to look at. Anyways, well done!
Once again, brilliant manga. Though I do agree with Jenna; try to post some of your own art works. Let me get super nitpicky now. The right girl's arm is a little too skinny, proportion-wise. Try fixing that. Also; the right one's neck looks a little disproportionate and an itty bit not at the right place.
Anyway, keep up this awesomosity! ~Lava

This is so impressive! The shading of this is really breathtaking. How do you do it? The girl on the right looks like she's missing an arm, but otherwise, this is really impressive. Keep drawing! You're really, really good, and I'd love to see more of your art.
