Yo kiddos, know you've noticed I am a bit quite out of your normal age bracket, but i do enjoy my saty here. I am a two-year member but still a junior writer since I was dormant for the past two years, anyway... I am a CPA by profession and part of Ernst and Young Global (know you haven't hear of that, but it is an auditing firm FYI). I really sucked in mathematics, I just thought I might do well in here since my elder sister already took nursing (I planned to take nursing before, too but I hate comapnrison). I used to be part of our org gazette and used to join youth press conferences. Most of the time I don't win, but hey, I did charge it to experience. LOL.

Anyways, I love Keating, the poet. I love J.K. Rowling the author, whose plotting is impeccable. I love Faulkner and Austen for their great evocation of characters' characterization and I love Dickens for the setting. And love Christie for the twists and unexpected endings (she's the equivalent of O.Henry in short stories) My favorite book is "The Rule Of Four". I am categorically a bummer, but they say i produce good pieces when I am pressured like when it is required for Lit class. There.

I used to hang at my best buddies' house and we used to drink til the wee hours of the morning. Once I even got to class drunk, oh hell LOL. I am saying its not good, but I know you won't take me as a role model either, so there. Anyways, i really wan tto get published. I believe in the saying that a man ought to do the following before he dies: Have a child, plant a tree, write a book. Unfortunately, i haven't done any of the three, so I'd better begin with the last one.

Had a huge crush on Julia Roberts, man, she just turns me on, I really dunno why...

My favorite dish is Adobo (A Filipino dish) yum yum

I hate phonies

I do some karate, aches my back... LOL

plan to visit my Pop's grave... haven't since he was buried

a teacher's pet annd enemy all at the same time

Well these are random facts that you coould do without, anywa.

So less blabbering and more writing I guess...

A good year of writing to all of us!

Cheers!

Hehehe...another Filipino, I see...same here pal...(which part of Philippines do you live?)

foxfire here, at your service...

so what kind of writing do you like, pal...historical, romance, action, or some kind of mixture?? I'm not really a fan of romance especcially high school romance nor historical...
of the writers you wrote, I am a fan of Dickens though sadly i am not a fan of Rowling...
John McClane: Drop it. It's the police.
Tony: You won't hurt me.
John McClane: Oh, yeah? Why not?
Tony: Because you're a policeman. There are rules for policemen.
John McClane: Yeah. That's what my captain keeps telling me

Filipino here, also a fan of Dickens and Rowling. :) You like Hans Christian Andersen? He's cool, too. Well, if you like Dickens, I'm sure you'll like Andersen and Twain, too.

What kind of stories do you like? What genres do you write about? What's your favourite flavor of ice cream? :D

I'm Kate, by the way. Have a nice day!

PS: "Alice in Wonderland" obsessed? You bet.

haha.:) I'm Pinay too.:) whereabouts are you?

I looove Austen. Dickens-- sometimes. haha. He's uphill work. A Christmas Carol is my 2nd favorite story of all time though. If you liked Oliver Twist and David Copperfield, you'll like Victor Hugo. He's the best writer that ever walked this Earth, I swear. haha.

anyway, good luck with life.:) Nice to meet ya, ay wait, haha, name's Nixie pala.:) Ingat.
All that I'm after is a life full of laughter, as long as I'm laughing with you.:)

Yo bookgeek:)

I love Austen and Dickens too! Pride and Prejudice is like my all time favorite. Oh, and you're not alone. I'm a geek too. Literally, whenever we have an assignment people run to me just for the benefit of getting a good grade. Ha ha but I mean it doesn't really bug me all that much.

I think that it's really cool that you want to get published. Believe me, I do more than anything! I've been working on my novel for about a year now and it's still all over the place.

Anyway, I think you're awesome. PM me if you ever want any reviews.

o.O What's the name of your native language? Filipino?

Sorry. I'm grossly uneducated about world culture. That being the case:
I've read a few classics. White Fang, David Copperfield (it was a pocket edition,
I do confess) and The Lord of the Rings are among them. I like myster too, but the
"whodoneit" kind, not murder.
