Ok, so I did a quick fix on the shading so I could post this for Juni. My camera makes the picture look a little darker, but it's decent enough. Critique away!

Hello Amber! Who are you doing? I'm Shauni, pleasure to meet you!
I'm a huge fan of Manga and I'm on my quest of learning. I think I'm doing pretty well but you are much more advanced than I...!
So, there isn't much I can tell you about this. I really enjoy it, on the first view. Looks almost flawless. Even though, I have some nip-ticks for you:

º I'd like to see the eyes more expressive. Maybe a bit darker on the edges and a certain dark-softness on iris. That's mainly my preferred choice but they look nice like that. He looks a bit confused. I like that!

ºI love the tattoo! *being random* It looks like a butterfly? Am I right?

ºThe mouth. I'd like to see the mouth a bit more prominent. Because he has an "amazing" facial expression, the mouth should complement the eyes. I'd had bit more of shade and I'd darken-up the edges of the mouth.

º The neck needs shading, especially where the hair covers it. We need to see the hair's shadow.
That's basically it! I liked it a lot!

Excellently done! I agree with Shauni on saying that the neck could use some shading where the hair falls, and perhaps just a little on the face, around the nose and cheeks, and his collar. I'm envious of your drawing skills, especially your anime.

Thank you for the crits, guys. I do want you to know that Yoruichi is a woman.... When I drew it I knew that it looked kind of manly, but I didn't really know how to fix her, which is why I just gave up on it. And yes, it's a tattoo (butterfly), but it's Soi Fon's "Death Mark", so it sticks anywhere she puts it. I focused more on the Death Mark because it seems very intricate to me. Thanks!

Haha, how awesome is that? I totally mistook her for a guy, haha. I think she needs eye lashes, right? Or something to make her look more feminine because her face shape and lack of eye lashes look more masculine than feminine to me. Or, I just see things oddly.

Well, I accidentally mistook her for a boy too. Lashes would help, even if it is a subtle shadow of them.
It's really awesome. You need to teach me how to draw manga. So, basically, June and Shauni said everything.
The one thing that popped out as odd to me was that the left eye and right eye aren't the same shape. Manga characters usually have the same shape, unless they're showing them as chibi or super-confused.
A little on the shading, concentrate on the muscles that fold when her brows look like she's scrutinizing something.

Sorry Amber, I so didn't see her and a guy. The facial structure could be a bit more feminine and the hair should fall more softly, like silk - that'd definitely add a feminine touch to her.
*closes and her eyes and says : "Gosh, she's so talented"*

Well, Yoruichi isn't ver feminine, she was the head of the "Special Task Force" and when you meet her in the show, you think she's a dude. I drew it just like I saw it in the picture, but maybe I could have done a little better.

Oh wow. this is really good! the shading is really good and whenever i see this style drawings it makes me want to learn how to draw like that even more! Amazing! It would look nice with colour, i don't know who this character is but i just got to say it looks professional. well done. keep it up.

I like this picture. It's cool; looks like an anime that I would like...like Bleach and Naruto... Speaking of which, where did you get it from? What show? Or is it your own anime creation? (That'd be sweet if it is! ) But aside from that, love the tattoo, and the expression.

I'd like to see this in person, along with some others. I miss drawing with you and Emi so much... Oh well. Perhaps we'll get back to it sometime?
