(Can you tell me what you think? I am going to use this for my creative writing presentation)
Sitting around the fire, sipping warmed chocolate and unwrapping presents.
Watching classic Christmas tales like Rudolf and Frosty.
Smiling and laughing, not caring that the night before
Was one of the worst we ever had.
How the very night before I spend crying myself to sleep.
Oh, how I wish you could have seen it.
Wish you could have seen where every tear touched.
Wish I could paint a picture with words to describe the feeling
Of hatred and insanity before a loving and sane holiday.
How my heart felt like knifes covered every speck of the surface,
How my brain tingled with an unwanted sensation.
How my eyes felt the need to escape my head,
The pain from the moist growing, the smile in my eyes fading.
Every year, the day before a holiday, we fight.
Every day after, we act like nothing went wrong.
You cheat me out of the happiness other children get,
You cheat me out of the smiles and laughs,
Then take a picture to show others as if you cared.
Because to you, life is just a game,
And to me, everyone who plays it will lose. Somehow.
