Having read this (and other Sherlock Holmes stories) I think this is a great picture in terms of the timing of it.
With the new movie and everything (which I haven't seen; want to though.) it's always important to remember what 'started it all'. Conan Doyle may not have been the best writer of all times, but the creation of the characters that were Holmes and Watson made him a genius.
A decent picture, indeed. I think the angle's a little common, though, and I might appreciate this a little more if you take a more unique approach to it. It's cool, but not quite hitting the spot. Also! I'd like to see just a little bit more of the glasses so that it's easier to recognize what they are, dear.
Keep it up! I'd like to see more of your work!

I love photos of type, it seems -- there's something about them like gauze or lace in black and white. And the story you can't quite see in blurred lines, but your minds says is there.
That's not quite to the point. ^_^
I like the photo. I wonder if it wouldn't be more deft from a skewed angle though, so that the viewer looks in from the corner of the page. Er, it would also be brilliant if you could get the glasses' shadow across the words. As it is, I couldn't tell what they were. They are spectacles, yes?
Anyhow, I like the photo. At the same time, brushed up, it would be brilliant; and I'd love to see the angle changed up.

I love the originality of this picture. I think you've done a fabulous job in terms of angle, light, perspective and focus.
It's flawless. I can't nitpick flawless - so I'll just say well done. I, personally, haven't read "Sherlock Holmes" but I think you've just inspired me to do so!
I guess I should say thankyou! Hehe! Keep up the brilliant photography! Ben.
Haha. Hey, there, Smiles! This picture has a wonderful originality to it. It's lighting, composition, angle, everything is amazing. You really did a great job with this one! I'm glad I loooked at this post. A nice refresher of good photography. All in all, nice, nice, nice! Tata! -Miss Mizz
