Princess and the Frog

Ok, my new favorite movie is Princess and the Frog. I'm so glad disney has decided to go back to the original animation. Now that you see movies now, there either too crudy or just too violent. I have nothing against the new movies like The book of Eli or Avatar, I just like the fact that this movie is so amazing. The music is amazing too. My favorite song has to be "Almost there" because its just such a great "I want" song. But what I can't believe is that people made such a big deal that Tiana (the main character) was black! For god sakes, she's awesome! Still, for anyone who loves the traditional disney animation, go see this movie. It majorly rocks!

Oh and my favorite character is Dr. Facilier. He's not only one of the greatest disney villians, but he's also played by Keith David. For all the Coraline fans out there, he's the same guy who played the Cat in the Coraline movie. I had no idea he could sing so well! "Friends on the other side" is the coolest villian song ever! Next to "Be prepared" of course.

I watched it the other day and really enjoyed it. Such a nice little escapism film...yes it's cliche and yes it's like all other Disney movies but I don't care it's still awesome lol

I was worried that Disney's return to classics wouldn't really go well. That the songs wouldn't be catchy and that the storyline wouldn't be as awesome as old Disney films but I didn't need to fear. It was just like those old classic Disneys.

I have to admit that I loved Ray...I was going to say something about the end there but I changed my mind. Don't want to spoil it for other people.

I too loved the villain's song it was pretty catchy.

I saw a bit of this documentary about Pixar over the christmas holidays. They were saying that because Pixar had like 6 hits in a row with their films, that the execs at Disney began like dismissing all the 2D animators and threw out old animating desks and like loads of people lost their jobs because Pixar was doing do well. However they then got a new Disney director and he started up trying to do more 2D Disney animations, which is probably why The Princess and The Frog came about. I'm glad he did it
