I would've been able to hear the bomb if it were ten miles away, but I could tell by the shake of the ground, that it was inside the complex. Quickly standing up from were I was in my small place in the corner, I walked to the cell door.
From the small rectangular window I could see smoke and people in white labcoats rushing towards the exit.
Then, another bomb went off. I could see the glass shattering in my face before I blacked out.
I slowly opened my eyes, but I couldn't see out of them. A small pain stung from my right temple. I pulled my hand up to inspect it. "Ouch" I said. Man, I really hate dying. I thought as I stood up. I could feel my shattered bones in my legs, start to assemble themselves, and I regained my vision I could see only the remains of what used to be my containment cell, and I chuckled at the sight.
But we didn't want to start without you! Your super important!
I am nothing but a mouthful of 'sorry's, half-hearted apologies that roll of my tongue, smoothquick, like 'r's or maybe like pocket candy that's just a bit too sweet.
I would but my character is still on the run so it wouldnt make much sense. And my character is going to be alone or with a group of people as the leader, do you want to be in that group?

"Are you okay," I whispered. I looked over her suspiciously, there's no way she could have survived that. " I'm just fine," she smiled. " My name's Rose. Nice to meet ya." " I'm Yavana, just call me Vana." I held out my hand and she shook it. " So," I said, lifting a rock out of a corner," What got you in here?" I sat down as her eyes widened. " You have influence over the earth," her voice seemed confused. " Yea," I sighed, "it sucks." " I'm immortal," she looked out the window. I was just about to tell her how flipping cool that was when a lond bang came from behind us. Several noises came from the hallway. They all scremed the same thing. "Were free!" Another bomb went off and the ground shook. I looked at Rose and we both started running at the same time.
**Good post loveless, you got my character's personality perfect. **

Vana helped me up, and I could tell I was beginning to like this girl. "We're free!" called a voice as another bomb went off. Vana looked at me, and we ran towards the voice. And then I started thinking. How many other's are there? Surely not many? I'd been in Area 52 for over forty years, but as far as I knew, there had only been me. Now this 'Vana' girl shows up - not that I have anything against her - and a voice screams 'we're' free. This just seemed like too much.
But before I could continue my internal babble any further, we were standing in front of the person who we heard yell.
I'm making another character, this is going to slow, her name is Avon, she's Nova's twin and Nova actually was abandonded by her father while Avon was kept and loved by daddy dearest for about 4 years untill her sold her to scientists. Don't we just love dads? P.S she has the opposite skill as Nova, while Nova can gather energy in her, Avon can extiguish any energy around her, in other words she can take away your powers for as long as she likes plus she controls all energy stuff, lights, tv, security...*nudge nudge* Oh she looks exactly the same as Nova too. Anyway:
"We're Free!" I yelled, signaling to the other's around me to get up and out. Most were already leaving so it was just me and two other girls left. They walked towards me and started to talk.
"Do you know how to get out of here?" one of them asked.

~Lance~ I woke up after hearing some explosion in the distance. But this wasn't the usual wake up. I was completely awake. I quickly checked my arm, and my guess was right!
They didn't inject me with the tranquilizers this time. I could jump, I could speak, and best of all, I could scream.
I hadn't used my voice in a while, so I made a quick sigh. It was just how I remembered; deep and solid. I faced the wall beside the cell door, and gave a shout, and a giant hole tore through the wall, about my height in diameter. Not as focused of a blast as I thought, but still pretty damn coll, and powerful as hell.
I saw a lot of people running around, a few of them yelling "We're free". What babies. We were free and that was it. We could finally head out and do what we want.
Which got me wondering; what did I want? I'd been stuck in there for who knows how many years, and all I wanted was to be free, but now that I am, what I do?
I looked down, and saw some ugly white jumpsuit. Everyone was wearing one. I needed my old clothes back. I started shouting down walls again and again. Eventually, I'd find some main office or wardrobe room. Conveniently enough, nobody wanted to get in my way. But after about 20 walls, I didn't give up; I found an incinerator with some coathangers nearby. Damnit! Why did these assholes burn my clothes?
I was pretty pissed, so I gave a shout at the incinerator, and it flew through another wall. I had to do something, so I figured I'd get out. Considering I shouted through 20 or so walls and found no exit, I figured we were probably underground. I walked into the hall that the incinerator flew through, and climbed up on top of it. I shouted at the ceiling, and, as I suspected, a hole burst through to a new section.
I climbed up, but all there was were more cells. I gave another shout upwards, but when the wall burst that time, there was dirt, no hole. Looks like I had to look for an exit afterall. This might take a while.

One, two, three, i counted in my head as i continued by daily exercise routine. There wasn't much to do here but keeping fit was all that kept me sane. That and running through my ex-army drills. After 150 years they were pretty much perfect but the routine kept me happy enough. But this day was destined to change everything. I heard the dull roar of explosives through the wall of room. The sound barely penetrated the thick metal walls ( i had been moved after managed to dig through concrete with little more than nails and time). A few moments later a furnace ripped through my room, pinning me beneath it's enormous weight and killing me instantly. Fortunately, i didn't stay that way for long. Ribs cracked back into place and organs inflated with sickening slurps. I squeezed myself out from the hole the furnace had left and looked up to see countless round hole torn into the ceiling. "What the heck?" I breathed looking around. Had the furnace fallen and inadvertently freed me? If it had i wasn't complaining and the furnace would explain the bang. Regardless, i planned on getting out of here.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.
I covered my ears as the noises continued. " We have to get out of here," I shouted. I tugged on Rose's shirt and begged her with my eyes. " Yeah," Nova yelled over the noise," Let's go." I pulled Rose and Nova to a hole that led to outside. The place was crawling with secruity and one of them was looking straight at us. Before I could count to ten they started after us. "Holy shit," Rose's voice was no more than a whisper. I threw a boulder at them and felt a small pange of guilt when they dropped dead. Nova and Rose stood there starring with wide eyes. "Well come on," I hissed, pushing two little rocks against their backs," We don't have much time." There was a ground shaking rumble as I removed another boulder from the ground and made it hover above my head. " Don't let that thing drop," Rose warned. I smiled. " Its just in case I have to bust more secruity butt."
She just killed them...the security gurads. Maybe they had wives, who cooked them food every night or kids who were promised dad's undivided attention the next day. All those plans gone in the simple strike of a boulder.
I knew I had the power to make those around irrevocably weak...like I could take away all the energy in the air and make it dull and lifeless. I hated it and I swore to myself I would never use it, but after things like that should I? the murderer's voice broke me out of my stupor, Yavana I think it was.
"Hey Girl! You coming or what?" she yelled, over 10 feet ahead of me. I jogged over to her and ran my hand through by auburn-brown hair.
"Yeah, let's get the hell out of here" I said to the two girls smiling before breaking my swear and killing all the energy in the air.
You could probably hear a pin drop in the energy void. The noise waves were reduced other than loud high pitched wailing that I'm sure no one but me could here. Wow..I did that.?

I took a look above and below the hole I tore, and a bunch of people were running around like crazy. They all were joyously prancing along like idiots! Was I the only one that took this freedom in a bit more sanity? Well, considering I just shouted a giant furnace through a wall, maybe I'm not the most sane here, but I was still more sane than the others.
Except for one person I noticed who wasn't running like an idiot. Some guy with blonde hair and blue eyes, who was climbing from under the furnace.
I wasn't quite certain why he didn't die, but he seemed tough and he didn't concern himself with it. He was more confused than he was joyeous, and I needed help to get out of here. I did what I thought was best.
I asked him, "Hey, you know a way out of this place?"
"I don't think so. What's going on?" He was pretty slow.
"You know how you were just locked in that cell?" I asked him.
"Yeah..."
"Well, you aren't anymore. That's what's going on. So, you wanna try and get outta here, or what?"
I don't know why I thought this guy would be able to help me get out, but it beat asking one of the the idiotic escapees.
"My name's Lance, by the way".
"Mikael."
I waited for a minute. Mikael was still in some confused shock.
I hopped off the furnace and snapped my fingers in front of his face. "You comin' with me or what?"
