I just wrote this a second ago. I was in a melancholy mood... Any comments?

AT THE WINDOW

I sit and glance as the seasons pass,
At the window.
I look at the shadows from the past,
And remember.

I sit and think as the friends pass by,
By my window.
I remember the smile, the joke, the lie,
All past now.

I sit and wonder at the birds above,
Through the window.
I watch the flight of the wheeling dove,
Free to fly whereso’er she will.

All life must pass my window,
Whether I see it or not.
All life must pass below,
My Window.
From the shadows a fire shall be woken
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken
The crownless again shall be king
J.R.R Tolkein

:) This is lovely!! I love the idea of the revisiting of old memories being expressed as a window ( I think thats what you're trying to say) and the person sitting behind it watching their life flicker by. I can't find anything technically wrong with it. It's very appealing! Keep up the good work!!
Bright is the ring of words
When the right man rings them,
Fair the fall of songs
When the singer sings them.
Still they are carolled and said -
On wings they are carried-
After the singer is dead
And the maker buried.

Robert Louis Stevenson
