The Ranger

Well, I've finally gotten down to writing one of these. It feels a little weird and self-centered, but I'm going to give it a try anyways.

Hmm...what to talk about...

Horses - I love horses. I'm planning on becoming an Equine Veterinarian, and being a writer on the side. I don't actually own any, but I plan to someday. My favorite type (thought I love them all) is the Mustang. There's something so beautiful and freeing watching a horse galloping across the open range, mane and tail streaming in the wind...*sigh* I could ramble on and on about horses, so just be aware before you ask me anything about them.

Movies - I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings films, with all of their epic battle scenes. Some other favorite movies are Sleepy Hollow, Aliens, The Dark Knight, and Hidalgo. I'm really a sucker for any action/fantasy/sci-fi/comedy film.

Music - I looove McFly, if you couldn't already tell. I also really like the bands Hawk Nelson (hence part of my username), Thousand Foot Krutch, Disciple, and Skillet. I listen to pretty much anything that's in the Christian rock/alternative category.

Books - the Ranger's Apprentice series are my favorite (hence the other part of my username), and I love anything that's fantasy. I'm a huge fantasy fan.

Writing - I'm working on a medieval-based fantasy, in the Sword & Sorcery genre. I was inspired by all of the King Arthur tales I've read, and it at first started out as a continuation off of the legend of Excalibur. But then it just naturally branched off into its own thing, and I've severed any ties I had with the Arthurian tales. I've been working on it since January 2008, meaning it's taken me exactly two years to get to the point where I'm at. I've gone through several different drafts and am finally just sitting down and writing the thing, and then I'll edit it and see what you guys think.

Sleepy Hollow! I positively love that movie (next to Lord of the Rings). As always, the Headless Horseman is my favourite.

Yes, I love Johnny Depp's eccentric character in it. Reminds me of Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.

Okay, favorite color of horse would be buckskin, although I also love blacks and bays. And dapple grays are so beautiful.

Favorite food: spaghetti! I love pasta and bread, which explains why I eat too many carbs and also why I get in trouble at the doctor's.

Favorite holiday: Christmas! Not only for what it symbolizes, but also for the festivities. And the presents.

Most loathed number: 6, for biblical reasons. And my favorite number's 7.

Horses are awesome, I don't ride personally, though I wish I did and that I was actually good, haha, they're beautiful animals!

Irish - you should definitely try riding! I've ridden for a couple of years and my posting trot is terrrrible. Yay for McSkillet fans! (I just made that up hehe!)

El Finito - haha how can you say I don't do anything fun when you don't know all that I do? I don't just watch Lord of the Rings you know lol...and sometimes I can be a Lone Ranger, because sometimes I want to.

I've read all of the ranger's apprentice series and I really enjoyed them. Great book series right there.

Meadow - haha yeah, Depp and Burton working together make an awesome, funny movie.
Ooh, my favorite RA character would definitely be Tug and Halt. I love how loyal Tug is to Will, he's just the sort of horse I'd love to have, and I love Halt's sarcastic personality. I think you told me you like Gilan?
Hmm, I don't like chicken or beef...I'm vegetarian.

And...that's a tough one...probably a tornado because it's not water-related. I have a huge fear of drowning.

Daydreams - yay, another RA fan! Who's your favorite character?

Halt or Will because I just love rangers they are so cool using stealth tactics and bows, especially in this series since they have such great skills.

Awesome! Yes, if I could I would love to become a Ranger. And I think I'd be the perfect size - I'm short for my age.
