Hi, hello, this is Mentalist.

I originate from YWO and have decided to check this place out.

I write realistic fiction, mostly. I've been writing for around six years, I'm a cellist, been playing for two years. I don't particularly have a favorite author, but I would say I like the work of Audrey N. (I can't remember how to spell her last name, but she wrote The Time Traveller's Wife). I have completed one short story (to my surprise, since I'm usually unable to finish my work), I am currently planning out a novel titled, 'TemporalShifter'; it's unofficial.

If you have any questions for me, go on an ask.

Hey there! :P
I'm JustDance but you can call me JD.
YWO eh? I'm sure you'll like YWS a bit better, but I guess you'll be the judge of that.
Realistic fiction? That's great! You're like..the first person on here that I know who enjoys it. I myself like it very much. It's such a great way to express yourself in a well..realistic fashion, no?
The Time Traveler's Wife. I have to check that book out, the movie looks amazing though.
Do post that short story on here, we'd love to review it. Just don't forget our review ratio (3:1). For every work you post make sure to have at least 3 reviews for other members done.
See ya around!
PM me for any questions or just a good chat. :)

Welcome to YWS, Mentalist! I'm WD. It's lovely to meet you! Glad to hear you're checking out YWS; I hope you like it here! A realistic fiction writer--very cool! What kind of things are you considering for your novel-in-planning? :P I can't wait to read some of your work should you post it here! Again, welcome to YWS! If you have any questions, or just want to talk, feel free to PM me!

YWS isn't as hard to navigate as I thought it was when I checked it out last year, odd.
Haha, realistic fiction is fun. Except, I write realistic fiction (usually) from a different time period, because this one is boring.
I have yet to watch the movie, but the book is very good.
3:1 ratio, eh. Hm, that's interesting, I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

I haven't actually gotten very far in my novel planning, mostly I've just finished typing up what the time machine is all about. The main idea of it is that the MC breaks the machine and screws up time.

Glad to hear you're getting around YWS all right! :D

That is really cool! Are there any particular time periods you especially enjoy writing realistic fiction in? And the idea for your novel sounds like a nifty one; sounds like something I would enjoy reading. If you stick around, I can't wait to hear how your planning and the writing goes!

Um, kind of medieval-ish times, usually the time period is implied.

Well, let's hope that I actually get around to writing it.

Talis!

I am welcoming you, officially, haha. You're set to write something in medieval times?! In chat, you said history didn't interest you. This seems...conflicting. Heh.

In any case, hope you've enjoyed your stay thus far :)

(Also, YWS is always changing. It's much different to what it used to be last year)

Hello! I'm glad to see YWS is better to navigate this year. We did a recent remodeling of it, so it looks completely new. :)

Hopefully you'll be able to finish your work! We have members who will stalk you and make you write if you don't... trust me. I am a victim of this, lol.

A lot of people keep on coming from YWO! :o What is this place?

Mentalist! Hi!

I have to ask, do you by any chance watch the TV show Mentalist? I love that show to no end, so when I saw your name up there, I just had to come rushing and ask :D

(It's a great show.)

I hope you have a good time here in YWS, and you had better... ;D

See you around!

Well, a lot of YWS members have been coming to YWO. YWO is YoungWritersOnline.net. I can imagine what you mean with people forcing you to write, we (YWO) have some people who do that.

The Mentalist = Fracking epic. Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon. Hee~ The Mentalist is amazing and so are the actors. Like Simon Baker and Robin Tunney.

Heh, I think we're mostly exchanging newbs :)

Most people that have been here for any length of time, tend to stay. That's probably the case for most young writers who settle on a particular online community :p

Four kinds of people I hate most in life.
1. People who use a preposition to end a sentence with.
2. People who can't count.
3. People who think it's 'clever' to quote ironic phrases.

Mentalist, who are you on YWO?
(I have a feeling they aren't much of a newb. We aren't completely exchanging newbs... One of our moderators joined here.)

I like to think this 'exchangeing newbs' thing is just returning the favor. :P

I think I may be sticking around to critique some stories and post my little short story, to get some more opinions. Opinions are always good. *nods*

Sae, I'm going to make you figure out who I am on YWO yourself, because my first post in this thread makes it obvious.
