My name is Allison.

I live in the Northern Hemisphere, specifically on an island.

I write, I draw, I play softball and field-hockey.

I am a percussionist.

I like music.

I write short stories, novelettes, and poetry. My attention span is not long enough to even begin a novel.

I daydream, I night dream (But I don't want to talk about those... they're too bizarre and if I told you about them I'd give away the plot of various stories.)

And, I've decided to start here as traditionally correct around here.

My apostrophe key doesn't really work unless you hit it really hard.... just warning you guys.

Most people here seem to have a sense of humour so I should fit in quite nicely.

Hello hello! Lovely to see a member of royalty on YWS. *Bows*

I'm Rosey, and I'm here to do just about anything you need, like everybody else on YWS is here to do! Hopefully we shall see you contribute to YWS in some way, be it reviews or works posted. Drop me a line if you need anything, from a review to help navigating.

You're certainly right about the sense of humour. I've often called YWS the nut-house. xD I think we even have several members named/nicknamed Nutty around here... Anyways! We can be serious when we want, but most of the time? Play rules.

Why not try hopping around a novel? Some members have done that— They'll just write the parts of the novel that come to them, in whatever order that comes to them, and fill in the blanks as they go. The first draft of my novel was done like that, and I believe Matt Bellamy is writing her novel like that. Might want to give it a try. (Or, you could wait a year for National Novel Writing Month, which happens in November. The object is to write a novel in one month)

What genre do you enjoy writing? I'm a fantasy girl, myself.

I'm Pudin, actually Juni, but here I'm Pudin.
So since I'm the third one here, I think I should update you with some of the rules here.
1. No chatspeak here like ttyl or "talk 2 u l8r". This is a writer's site and the grammar and punctuation rules must be followed. Abbreviations such as lol, wb, MC and P.O.V are allowed.

2. No all caps in titles please.

3. The review ratio here is 3:1 and it is really important to maintain it for the sake of the site.lol.

4. Please rate you work. If there is any content that contains extreme, violence or anything else, please rate it.

5.Respect, respect is always important.

6. Have tons and tons of fun.

To be honest I have those, but trying is really good, eventually I managed to find a story I grew attached to and puff! a novel.

Lol! Evil apostrophe key! You should take some advice from C.S. Lewis and not use contractions at all. Yeah, some people will be irked that you use "do not" rather than "don't" but hey! Anything for the sake of Grammar!
