LOL.

The reason behind me drawing this is an inside joke between me and a friend. We were on the phone and I was looking at the light bulb in my lamp and something inside it was moving. So...I claimed that there was a Chupacabra living in it, for no reason at all. But it works because it's made in Mexico XD So, the next day, I decided to draw aforementioned Chupacabra, and this is the result

According to all the legends I've ever heard, it's a dog/grasshopper thing that eats goats. In fact, the direct translation of Chupacabra is 'goat sucker'. So. Yeah. Lol. I had every intention of keeping this in mind while I was drawing it, but I seem to have left out the 'dog' part... Now it just looks like an alien grasshopper XD Lol. Ah well. The Chupacabra is a mythical creature, and this is my interpretation lol.

Sketched in pencil, inked and "shaded" with Micron pen (size 3 or 5, I can't remember XP)

Enjoy! As well as you can, anyway ;)

Hey Rayne.
It's an interesting picture and I love the font you've used!
So, about the picture:

1. Your shading is a tad off. The tail looks bushy and hairy, so does the hind leg. The ones in from seem smooth. I think, you need to shade the coat first and then shade appropriatelt to show the differences in distance.

2. The claw of the hind leg (the right-most one) has to be corrected.

3. The spikes on the back don't look like they emerge from the body. Try working on that by drawing grooves and such stuff near the base of it.

It's a good work all the same, especially if it's from your head.
Keep drawing!

1. One leg looks stiff, and the other has an elbow pointing the wrong way.
2. The foot is backwards, and looks like a hoof.
3 & 4. I agree with lavabubblingout. Your shading is a tad off. The tail and hind leg looks bushy and hairy. The spikes on the back and tail don't look like they emerge from the body.

The Chupacabra is described as a variety of different animals. It looks like you're drawing it to be some-what alien. The tail and hind legs look like a dogs. You should make them look more alien like.

I like the font you used, and you have a good imagination.
Good job. :D

Cool, I've always been interested in cryptozoology. And naturally I couldn't resist checking out your drawing. Not exactly how I would picture the Chupacabra, which literally translates to "Goat sucker."

But still a good little drawing. Hm, I might have ti get my own drawings on here soon. :D

A very interesting picture you have presented for to us. I think it is funny how you thought of the idea to draw it. The only big problems that I noticed were shading issues mostly on the tail and that one foot being crooked. The head reminded me of venom from spiderman. Good job overall please post more soon.

I don't really have anything to critique about it. Just thought I'd say I like the creativity in it. :P

No! Goats are not to be eaten! D:

Hi, Rayne! The Chupacabra is so cute. I especially love the face and the head – it makes me think of Pacman for some reason. xD

I also like the spikes on the back and the tail. Overall, the tail looks too thick to be on such a slender creature. Are those ribs or some kind of wrinkles on the side? The leg that's reaching out is bending strangely, it doesn't look smooth. The angle may be in the wrong place, I'm not sure. The shading could be smoother, of course, but the roughness of it just a nice touch to the picture, methinks.

Mandapanda: This is such a creative way of showing mistakes! I've never seen it before, but I like it :D Anywho, that leg is supposed to be bent weird. It's an alien...thing...lol.

AspiringAuthorA..M.: Please do post work! I love inspiring people to show off their own art and to practice, practice, practice! No one can be perfect, but everyone can be good :)

DayDreams: Venom is exactly what I was going for; glad you noticed xD And no, I didn't draw it. Just colored :) I credited the person who drew it on my profile, if you would like to see. I have a ton more pictures laying around here, that I would love to post :3

Pretty Crazy: Um...thanks? Lol ^_^

Demeter: Lol, sorry little goats! Good thing this isn't real xD Pacman...lol. I never thought of it that way before, but I can see where you get it x) Thanks ^_^

So, I thought this was pretty good for drawing a creature we really don't know much about, pretty brave considering there are few things telling us what these creatures look like. Good job, I really like the spikes for some reason. The limbs are pretty jagged and stiff, so maybe work on that. But otherwise, great job!
Tata! Keep it up!
