Curse of the Shadows Heart
There are many other existences beyond our own. Were beast can talk and the human race is not the only intelligent beings, were the land that appears to be ripped from the ground then throne into orbit in space dust, forming together to create the Spin wheel. Were shadows can speak, shadows can move on their own except leave his or hers being (object that is casting the shadow) only in this existence. But what about the others, the other worlds
Chapter 1 The Note of the Beginning
Cullen dashed throe the forest with Kirk right behind. The screeching was getting
louder and louder. Cullen jumped into the bush With Kirk on his tale.
“What is that noise?” whispered Kirk to Cullen, the only human he had at the moment to talk to.
“Who knows “said Cullen in the lowest volume possible. An offal silence fell upon them, it felt like death itself. Footsteps brook the perfect silence. Cullen and Kirk tried to crawl farther back into the bush but there was no more room. A round fuzzy out line appeared above them, when the figure came into the light you could see his ragged beard, and his wrinkled face and a huge hat you know those kind that cowboys ware.
“How on earth did you get here” said what Cullen thought was Mr. Detmond.
Thirteen days ago
Cullen was waken up when all of a sudden a fast nock at the front door, it was 6:30 and Kirk constantly walk up at 10:00 or 11:00. So Cullen had to drag his shadow (Kirk) to the door (Cullen was a small 12 and a half, year old boy, he had brown and red hair, a round head and big cheek bones.)When he got to the door and opened it there was no one there jest a note. Cullen ripped the note of the door and carried it in to his mother’s bed room. He glanced at it enough on the way to his mother’s room to have read it twice. “The fallen shadow is coming” was written on the note. When Cullen entered his mother’s room she had a speech page (she wrote something down then it melted into the page, seconds later her mother replied and it appeared on the page, she was sitting up in her bed writing to her mother who was on the north side of the spin wheel.) Cullen’s baby brother and his 10 year old sister were at the foot of the bed sleeping. His older brother had gone out to his bike trail. He bent over to give his mother the note that was on the door, she read it and shut the laptop, and put here jacket on then ran to the living room. She brought out here really old ink pen and wrote down something that must of bin a another language, because Cullen had no idea of what it meant, he couldn’t read it. Then she told him that he should run as fast as he could to Mr. Detmond and give him the letter (Cullen’s mother’s name was Angelina her shadow was named Jolina, his mother was young and beautiful well that’s what Cullen’s Dad said about here. She wasn’t the tallest person in the world but she wasn’t small ether she had brown hair and blue eyes). Cullen grabbed Kirk and shook him so hard Kirk almost throw up but before he could do that he was awake.
On the way to Mr.Detmond’s house Cullen told his shadow why they were running at 6:53 in the morning to Mr.D house. When they got there they opened the door and looked inside.
“Where is the man and his shadow” Cullen whispered to Kirk, his best friend.
“Well he must be her it is his house and it is still morning so nobody has gone to work” so they just let themselves in. The walls were covered with books and more books, there were no shelves, so the books were jest piled on top of each other in a very neatly way, books without shelves were highly un common, so that was jest weird.
“Hmhmhmhmhmhmhm” came from the room down the hall.
“What’s that noise?” said Kirk
“It got to be Mr. Detmond, trying to sing but I think people could drop dead if he sung any louder” said the 11 year old boy to his sleep deprived shadow. When they walked in on Mr.D and his shadow (who was named Normin) he was shaving. Mr.Detmond is a big but friendly man with a big sense of humor. He had a big beard which he shaved every month, and no matter what, he weirs his cow boy hat.
“Hallo boys what are you doing up at this early hour and here at my house?” said the shaving man. You could see the shadows: Kirk, Norman, who were chatting on the polished floor.
“My mom told me to give you a letter she wrote” said Cullen then gave the man the note. The minute he read it he started to panic the same way Cullen’s mother did when she read the note on her door.
“Come here boy I need your help, come, and come quickly”. (Mr.Detmond finished shaving as fast as he possibly could). Mr. Detmond pushed a clay mask deep into the wall, a wall opened and a door appeared, like the ones in all the old mystery movies. He opened the door as if he were a mad man. He dashed into the door that appeared from the wall. Mr.D grabbed Cullen’s shoulder and nudged him into the door way. When they entered the mysteries room there were freakish animals all over the walls. There was some sort of reptilian animal that had four heads, and the scales were bright red and green.
“What type of species of snake is that” whispered Kirk, so that Mr.D wouldn’t hear him.
“Here it is” said Mr.D (Understand that shadows don’t have to copy the movements of the people they belong to; they can do what they want except go where they want.) Mr.D put a round dark collard big marble in a white cloth that looked like silk
“What is this glowing thingamajiger?” asked Cullen.
“It is a… never mind jests give it to your mother and rap it in this cloth she’ll know what to do with it, and don’t stop for anything, go go now” Cullen turned around and ran faster than he knew he could. Then he tripped, Cullen didn’t let go Kick did, so when he fell it hit him right in the chest his head hit the brick road whit a thump. There was a bright purple flash Cullen got up from a blow to the head which should have knocked him unconscious. He got up
“You ok, you should be in pain right now, I should be in pain right now” Kirk said sounding surprised. Kirk forgot to pick up the marble but Cullen didn’t so it flouted were Cullen hand would be if he were a shadow, stunned Kirk said “you ever seen that be for, or am I seeing things?”
“No, grab it” Cullen said. Kick poked it, then put his hand on it and poled it toured him. “Ok let’s go” Cullen said. in seconds they were there.
Chapter 2 lie
He ran to his mother’s room. His sister and his little brother were up all ready and since it was Saturday no one was going to school. Cullen’s mother was in the living room passing back and forth. When Cullen entered the rooms Angelina leaped to Cullen. And grabbed the stone out of out of Cullen’s hands, and raped it up in paper that was a black thin piece of paper. Angelina pulled out a golden box that had a whole bunch of cobs on the box and there was only one spinning cob. When she put the over sized marble which is now raped in black paper in the golden box, “click” all the golden cobs connected together and everything started to spin on the box. Cullen looked into the box; the top of the box was closing. Angelina picked up the box and ran over to the phone and dialed some number, she waited for several seconds, and then a voice came from the phone, she put the phone to her ear.
“Hi Olinden I need you to come here as fast as you can” Cullen’s mother whispered into the phone.
She hung up the phone and looked at Cullen for about three seconds. It took that Olinden fellow a half an hour to get to Cullen’s house. When he got there, he just took the box and left, no good bye, no hello, jest grab and go is what he did. For the next twenty four hours, all any one did was read books, talk, and speech page friends. The next morning Cullen got up at 11:30.(Cullen’s father whose name was Flint, Flint was about five feet and seventeen inches but naturally really strong, he could do fifty one arm pushups, and he had dark brown hair and a strong face with big smile. Flint’s shadows name was Simon) Angelina cold Flint over then whispered into his ear.
“Come on, son, I need to talk to you, the question you asked your mother is a difficult thing to explain” said Flint. “Me and your mother are giving something to…one… are…a…were giving that…a… rock to one of our friends…he’s…a…rock collected, a very rare rock collector.” Cullen told his father that he got the story and believed it, but deep down inside Cullen knew that his father was lying to him and his parents never lied to him they loved him so Cullen had to assume that it as for his own good, but his brain couldn’t except not knowing the answer that had him tide up for the entire day.
That night Cullen got no sleep, but Kirk fell asleep so fast that if it was a race he would have won by a hundred miles. Cullen kept tossing and turning over the lie that would not let him sleep until he knew the troth. Cullen couldn’t sleep so he went to get a glass of water (when the shadow’s heart beat is low they don’t need to stick to their owners, but this parting of shadow and person can only be achieved by sleep or, death in which there is no possible way to kill a shadow, that Cullen knew,).Cullen walked to the kitchen, the cold tiled ground made a clinking noise. The cold, fresh running water filed the cup in an instant. The water trickled down Cullen’s throat, quenching his thirst. As Cullen but down the glass, as he put the glass down he saw what was out the window. There were two blue fingers creeping up the window, Cullen didn‘t have time to stand there like an idiot to find out who those fingers belong to. Cullen ran to his room and grabbed his shadows arm and yanked it so hard it almost came out of the arm socket.
“Wake up wake up, wake up” Cullen whispered into Kirks ear so not to wake his parents. Kirk sat up in his bed
“What what, what, what” Kirk said in a sleepish voice. The moment Kirk woke up he was immediately back to being attached to one person
“Come come, fast, fast!!!” Cullen was too freaked to finish sentences. Cullen picked up his shadow and flung him onto the carpet so to wake Kirk, and get him up faster. Cullen picked Kirk up off the floor and ran to the kitchen and dropped Kirk on the kitchen floor. “Look look” they both peered over the sink and out the window simoltainyesly, to find nothing.
“What do you want me to look at” Kirk said in a sleepish way
“There were two bleu fingers I didn’t see the rest of the body” Cullen said.
Chapter 3 a silenced watcher
The next day Cullen had to go to school, UN willingly. The minute Cullen entered the bus Kirk begged him to run home and ditch school but Cullen was determined to go, so he ignored his shadow. When he sat down he felt two holes being bored into the back of his head. He peered over his shoulder and saw a boy with jet black hair that covered his eye, his left eye to be exact. He was wearing a black leather jacket and tight black pants and black sneakers his entire body was all black except his skin which was mostly covered by black close. And his eyes were a hole off eternal emotion that were fighting to be exposed by those deep silver eyes that reflected the sun light that shown throw the bus windows.
“Glance at that kid over there, the a…6 seat on the left row” Cullen whispered to Kirk
“ya, I see him, he looks funny all black, I’ve never seen him before is he new or something.” But by that time all the minutes of a bus ride to school had now been in the past, and bus 26 had polled into the concrete parking lot.
When Cullen entered the class room and took his seat he felt the holes on the back of his head. For the next five classes that, guy was totally in all of them. It’s like he was a stoker.
“His shadow doesn’t seem to move or talk a lot he’s like a silent witness that has no need for movement.” Kirk whispered so that the teacher couldn’t hear them talk. That entire time the teacher never called on the new guy or welcomed him in front of the class. It’s like he had a don’t-pay-a-attention-pas and all he did was stared at the back of Cullen’s head.
After school the kids got lined up for the buses and talking all at the same time
“He’s gone!” Kirk said while trying to ketch a lungful of air.
“Good!” answered Cullen as he gulped as much air as possible.
“GIVE HIM BACK!” screamed voice from behind the school.
“Did you hear that?”\Cullen said.
“Yes, I did you would have to be death not to here that” Kirk exaggerated
“Well that means every one ells is, no one heard it” Cullen said they walked behind the corner, there was the creep. Cullen and Kirk hid behind the brick wall.“that brain dead nut so, he’s screaming at nothing…” a bleu ring shimmered into existents, big enough to circle a school bus, was rotating around him.
Kirk began to see a arm, then grew a chest and eventually there grew a man. He was tall with a short pointy nose and short black hair. His arms and half of his chest was tightly wrapped in white cloth, his legs were covered with black leather with lots of round wooden stakes hanging by belts, covering most of his legs.
“shut up and stay still, an it will be all be over” the man said as he polled to stakes from his legs. The kid jumped back and was missed by the two of the stakes the guy throw. The kid pulled a baseball from his pocket, brought it up to his mouth and blew on it, it tore and from the rip shot out a wood bat with the base ball at the beginning of the handle into his hand. The mans face turned angry then he threw the stakes in his hands at the kids face he hit them with the bat and they hurled back at the man, he pulled out to other stakes and deflected them. The man decided to change his strategy, he charged at the boy and swung his arms as he tried to stab the kid. The boy raised his arms to swing at the man and was stabbed right in the chest, he dropped the bat and hit the man in the head, he fell and so did the boy. The kids face went pale as he slowly bled. The kid polled out the stake, he gagged with pain he lifted it and stabbed the man he melted into sand, the stake in the kids hand melted into sand and so did every other weapon the dead man carried, the hole in the kids chest sealed up and the blue ring evaporated.
Chapter 4 leaving so soon
when Kirk and Cullen got home both parents were talking in the other room
My sister was named Julie, her shadow named Summer. Julie had long brown hair, green eyes. She was wearing a bleu sweater that said the near by school logo and gray swept pants. Summer was reading a book, as she read a glow shot out from the book and formed pictures that was narrated by her.
“mom and dad wont you guys” Julie said without taking her eyes off of the light show.
“why” Kirk said.
“I don’t know, what do you think” Julie said
“sshh” nick said (Kirk little brother.
